Delicious authentic tacos and an awesome salsa bar with free chips! I had a soup that wasn’t on the menu (I saw someone else eating it) and it was loaded with crispy chicken meat and burst with flavor. My favorite taco was the buche (pork belly) and lengua. The horchata was very good and the staff very friendly. Highly recommend.

This place has changed hands again, so I have not yet plumbed the depths of their menu yet.
The enchiladas were very good, and the chili relleno was outstanding! I am a little disappointed that they disassembled my favorite alcove in the corner by the window, but I will definitely get over it if the rest of their menu is on par with the food I had.
Recommended.
UPDATE: My Wonderful Wife took me to dinner here tonight, and by doing so we just discovered my new favorite menu item.
Now this was a mistake born of miscommunication, but this was a telephone and Vulcanization of rubber kind of mistake, and I will be making it again very soon. Here goes . . .
I wanted to know if (THAT’S IF) the Chile relleno burritos came with Carne Asada OR NOT.
Paradoxically, the answer was no they don’t – but YES they do FROM NOW ON!
IT was FANTASTIC! The pepper was top grade and not overcooked, the meat was super tender and incredibly juicy, and the beans and rice were balanced so perfectly that I had to look for them – 2/3 of the way through this massive monster when I finally was able to talk myself into taking a breath. An amazing blend of deliciousness and hunger satisfaction that is truly very rare these days.
Like I said, I am doing this again Very Soon!

Place is located in a quiet area but busy road. Restaurant has lots of seating, we had no trouble deciding on where to sit. We ordered our food at the counter and it was brought out in about 10 minutes. Let me just tell you it was very delicious. The beans definitely tasted like they came out of the olla.

This new Los Gallos location in Boulder Creek has been a dream come true for our little town in the woods. We finally have amazing Mexican food! The chips are to die for as is the pico de gallo. The shrimp are always fresh and plump and tasty. The super veggie burrito is supremely delicious. I like to add rice and shrimp to it. They also have a great soda fountain and selection of drinks. And the front staff is always so friendly and welcoming. Thank you, Los Gallos for serving us amazing food with a smile ❤️

After we finished our meals, my partner and I had to sit back for 10 minutes to collect ourselves – that’s how much this food blew our minds. The meats were cooked perfect as could be, the portions generous, the prices reasonable, and the staff were kind. We came from out of town and had a flight to catch the next morning, but were checking their hours with the hope of coming back for another meal before we leave!

I stopped here quite randomly was going for a drive from San Francisco to Santa Cruz. I ordered 2 soft fish tacos – it was massive! And super tasty. It came with four soft tacos and enough fish to fill at least that many. Great value and would recommend it for a Mexican fix for anyone driving though this way.

Cozy place and friendly staff. We stopped here because of reviews and were passing through this cute town. I had their birria platter special and my husband had the fish tacos. The birria wasn’t as flavorful as I hoped for. My husbands fish taco came out as a giant pile of soft fish chunks. Not bad but also not a lot of flavor and was expecting fried fish. Not a bad food experience but we didn’t think it’s worth all the hype. Chips and salsa bar was good. Last to note, we were there 30-40 minutes and the bathroom door was locked the whole time.

One of our favorites for burritos. The Chili Relleno Burrito is excellent and could pass as vegetarian, but not vegan. My favorite is the Camarones burrito. Salsas are fresh and tasty. Though we generally get burritos, all of their items are well prepared and tasty. Quiet atmosphere – no blaring music, and I like the simple decor. It is a Boulder Creek staple for us!
