I’m from harlingen Texas the far south , I frequently visit Mexico quite a bit and I have to say that since living up in North Texas in dfw I miss home sometimes and this place feels like home. The food is some of the best legit Mexican food I have had in a long time. I drive about 45 minutes just to eat here it is that good the atmosphere is home. Eat some al pastor tacos they are so good. THE BEST TACOS IN MANSFIELD. PERIOD. I’ve been to all the local taco spots in Mansfield and NONE of them come close to Taqueria Los Coyotes. This is my new weekly Sunday spot. Everything was absolutely delicious! The tortillas, barbacoa, eggs, bacon, potatoes, cheese and the green salsa straight from the molcajete!

Well unfortunately i have to update this review because we drove an hour to come get some tacos like we usually do and i have to say, i dont know what happened but the tacos just were not good at all. It tasted like i was eating cilantro and onion only, The customer service was cold and so was the atmosphere. I dont know what happened , and the prices have jumped astronomically!!! We used to pay around 30 tp 40$ for 20 tacos but today we paid 70$ oh! And the debt card reader wasnt working so i has to drive to TWO gas stations! i am completely blown away how things can change so fast, i built the additions to the ben barber school so i have been coming here since 2015 , this is One of my wife and I’s favorite places ,we have been driving over an hour to eat here for over 9 years now. I’m originally from South Padre, this is one of the places I have found with the most authentic Mexican food, but unfortunately everything has to come to an end so goodbye el coyote taqueria you will be missed.

The negative attitude of the employees here is insane to me …
This morning I brought my 8 year old daughter to get our Sunday Tacos and I told the guy in the window I wanted 6 tacos and 2 cokes.. when my plate came to the window there were 9 tacos and I was sort of astonished… I told him I only ordered 6 and he argued with me that I was wrong… Why would I order 9 tacos for dinner in with myself and and 8 year old…
He said, “Here just take em”..
When I went up to pay he still charged me $24 for some egg tacos and 2 cokes… Between how hateful the staff seems to always be and this little situation, I won’t be back here. I should note, I come here at least 3 times a week and get treated like this today…

You can’t beat real Mexican food. I’ve been to many of these small stands and this one thus far is one of the best. I had a fajita burrito, it was big and not greasy like other stands. They sell shrimp tacos too.

The food is good, however, the lady taking the order is very rude. Not only on one day, I have come here almost every Saturday and Sunday for several months now. She is always rude. Also it’s quite hot and there are flies everywhere.
