This review is specific to a corporate catering event we utilized Los Comales for, which was referred to me as great Mexican food. We needed to feed ~100 people and do a quick serve experience. The catering team here is fantastic – they promptly responded to my inquiry and informed me of these grab and go taco bags they offer, which was perfect for what we needed (e.g., short on space and needed something that could be picked up and consumed within a half hour).

Christina helped me identify the best mix of tacos to choose, as well as worked with me to accommodate a host of dietary restrictions, which made for a really favorable experience. Further, delivery was super smooth, with the driver sending a link with his tracker so our admins could plan accordingly to pick up the food.

We received very positive reviews about the experience and the food, and we’ll definitely include Los Comales in our go forward repertoire given how great of an experience we had!

I’ve finished 2 meals at this place and they never come by to refill your drinks. You have to ask. I’m not used to that so it affected the tip. I may end up there again for the atmosphere. There’s cheaper, better tacos out there though.

Food here is mediocre but convenient drive thru when you’re in a rush. I’ve ordered guacamole many times and it’s never fresh. Giving up at this point; it’s tastes like powdered aguacate packets with old pieces of tomato, onion, cilantro.

Overall below average. My burrito pastor was a 5/10, nondescript and bland. No chips and salsa. All plastic and foam plates and cutlery. Large impersonal space. Charging $3.10 for two grilled jalapeños a little rich, without a knife to cut them. Service pleasant enough. One and done.

I normally never write negative reviews, but this experience was really disappointing. I was charged for two chile relleno tacos, but they literally just cut one in half and charged me double. One of the halves didn’t even have a tortilla. My torta was super soggy, and they didn’t include the chiles or salsa either.
I’ve been recommending Los Comales for years—even to schools for field trips—because I used to believe it was a great place with good food and fair prices. But I spent around $50 for just two people, and the quality has gone down while prices keep going up.
In a time like this, we should all be supporting local businesses—but businesses should also be supporting their community by keeping things fair and accessible. It’s really sad because I’ve been a loyal customer for years, but it feels like they’re taking advantage of locals instead of appreciating them. I won’t be going back or recommending this place anymore.

I’ve been going here since I can remember and I’ve always struggled with something from my order but always want to come back and give it another shot for any improvement since they always take the food back if it’s wrong but honestly Do not go pick up with out checking food here because They do not follow there menu for vegetarian option. You have to constantly let them know it’s wrong. I order the vegetarian tacos which should come with rice, beans, lettuce, onion all the vegetables available and it only came with lettuce. They also gave me my wrong drink and only exchanged it because I was able to try that item in front of them. Other options are okay

I ordered the taco dinner. 2 carne asada and one veggie also horchata. As you can tell from the picture I demolished it. I encourage everyone to come here. A food reviewer rich off impact on instagram recommended it!

1 star for food

This location once had the best Mexican tacos in all of Little Village. It is so disappointing how horrible the food is here. The steak tacos lacked any seasoning and tasted of cheap meat. The Al Pastor tacos were overly sweetened and had zero taste to pork. The beans tasted straight out of a can and reheated several times. The rice lacked any seasoning and the yellow color seem to have been more dye that flavor. The red hot sauce was overly watered down on the upside the green sauce was not. The price of the food should be slashed in half for the quality of food that is coming out of this restaurant. As for service, it was friendly whenever we actually saw the waiter. The place was empty and still took 5 minutes to even take our drink orders. The only thing going for this place is that looks clean and has a nice view of the Village Arch. I would save your money and go anywhere but here. This once great place sadly has lost its magic and with it my service. I hope this once great place comes back to its glory days since it once was a staple to Little Village.
