⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Five Stars! – My New Favorite Taco Spot in Freeland!
Okay, so picture this: you’ve just popped into the dispensary next door (no judgment here, we’ve all been there!)… and suddenly, you’ve got the munchies like woah. Well, good news, because literally right next door is Taqueria Los Cantaritos, and let me tell you, it’s a game-changer!
This food truck serves up some seriously delicious Mexican food. Every bite is packed with authentic flavor. But the real star for me has to be the shredded beef – it’s absolutely exceptional! Tender, flavorful, and just perfectly seasoned.
Whether you’re hitting up the dispensary or just looking for an incredible meal in Freeland, you absolutely HAVE to check out Taqueria Los Cantaritos. You won’t be disappointed!

P.S. no pictures cause as soon as I smelled it I ate it all in one swift motion. It was involuntary.

This is a Mexican food truck, but it is tucked away behind the cannabis store. You could see it as your zooming down the highway but today I remembered it. After I got off work I had a hankering for some real homemade taquitos. They have them and they are very good. They are made fresh right there. They also come with rice and beans a little bit of their homemade guacamole and some sour cream. They have a lot on their menu. Growing up in Los Angeles and also living in Ensenada I crave to have real Mexican food, which is hard to find around here on Whidbey Island. Especially on the south end. So I’m happy I stopped and tried them and now I won’t forget that they’re there.

it was not very authentic and low quality compared to the other food trucks. Chicken taco was like boiled chicken breast that was chopped in a pieces and then seasoned so not premarinated chicken thighs. The beans and rice weren’t bad though and the customer service was nice Three tacos beans and rice was about $18.

This place is consistently fast and delicious. I picked up a veggie burrito today for my vegetarian house mate and it received a rave review from her. I’ve had their carne asada fries and they were immaculate. I definitely plan to go back again soon, and I recommend Taqueria Los Cantaritos to all looking for a good spot to eat on the south end of Whidbey Island.

40 dollars for 1 burrito and 2 horchata. Very little meat in burrito. Ordered 2 got 1, price reflected 2. Spoke with the person they said this price was for 1. Registered fraud complaint with the state. The math doesn’t add up.

The comida Mexicana at this taco truck is very authentico… carnitas, birria con queso, from a convenient stop along Whidbey Islands main thoroughfare Hiway 525, makes us locals very appreciative of the availability of quality, local and worthy mexican food. Your other choice is a disappointment representative of space ship wannabe tacos.

Call ahead… It’ll be waiting for you, and the remaining thing to do is find a favorite waterfront spot off Maxwelton and enjoy. Pricing and selection are great, and there’s a family owned vibe in the authenticity of their food. Enjoy… and ignore the cannibis shop right next door… if you can.. 60k miles of travel and eateries… trust me… you’ll be back.. see travel site in bio..

Definitely worth a visit! Happy to see this new spot on the south end! We’ve been a handful of times over the last few months and the food has always been on point and delicious. Friendly service too. First time ordering Chile rellenos from a truck for me, but I’m so glad I did! Yum—fresh ingredients, intentional, flavorful seasoning —altogether it would have been an impressive execution coming from any traditional brick and mortar kitchen, but especially impressive considering that they did this in a truck! Ordered some Muletas (sp?) with carne asada on a whim for my toddler on another visit—these were a lower price point menu option and unfamiliar to me but they were so so good!! Baby girl got an unplanned lesson about the joys of sharing with momma that day! 😉 Horchata was available the last time we were there… few things taste better than good, cold Horchata on one of these beautiful hot summer days. I hope locals get behind these guys and keep them around! 🙂
