Eric and the rest of the staff were great! The tacos were phenomenal and the portions were good. I’m stuck on the churro though. It was the quality, texture, and taste of the churro that surprised me. It wasn’t just a deep fried pastry; It was a high quality pastry. Looking forward to coming back!

The atmosphere is light and open. There was music playing in the background. It was nice and did not interfere with our conversation.

They brought out chips, salsa, and guacamole. I could have happily filled up on those. The texture of the chips was perfect. The salsa was delicious, and the guacamole was fabulous.

The service was good and very helpful, explaining some of the options and terms that we weren’t familiar with.

I had the steak quesadilla. It was large and delicious. My wife had a fajita without meat. She really enjoyed that. We each had a horchata – mmmm good.

Fresh, authentic Mexican food.

We decided to try this place tonight with our kids. We ordered at 8:45pm and the owner who took our order was happy we called even though they close at 9.

Food is fantastic. We ordered the birria tacos, fajita taco with steak, and the gordita with chicken. Flavors were great! Definitely coming back.

Sounds like their full restaurant is opening soon. If you’re local to Shelby, highly recommend.

Food was very good. This business deserves more support. Lots of unique and fun stuff on the menu.

The birria is the best in the area. I’ve been looking for a while for a good birria place and I finally found it.

I don’t ever really leave reviews- but a place this good deserves a 5 ⭐️. This was my first time visiting Taqueria Lime & Salt, and I am beyond impressed. The food is truly top quality & everything tasted fresh, flavorful, and made with care and LOVE.

The steak quesadillas were absolutely incredible and my favorite. The meat was so juicy, tender, and perfectly seasoned. You can genuinely taste the difference in the ingredients they use and it tastes so authentic.

What made the experience even more special was the atmosphere and hospitality. We personally thanked the owners while we were eating because the food was just that good. They were so kind and wonderful, I didn’t happen to get their names, but I hope they see this and know how much we enjoyed their service. In fact, previous customers actually came back in as we were eating just to ask if they had tipped — that’s how memorable the food and service were!

They’ve only recently opened, and I can already tell this place is going to be a huge success. I’ll definitely be coming back and becoming a regular. I can’t wait to see them expand.

Highly, highly recommend!

This was our second time here. It’s so fresh, authentic and delicious! The steak burrito was ginormous!! You can get it wrapped in fried cheese as an option. You get so much food. The machata was yummy! We watched her make everything fresh through the window down to the ‘dough’ of the machata and the kitchen is very clean. The tacos and quesabrirra tacos are a must try my favorite so far. Salsa was delicious, too! Can’t wait for the sit down part of the restaurant to open. It’s mainly take out as of now. It’s family owned and they are so nice!

Tried Lime and Salt today and was overall impressed! The Mexican style tacos were generously portioned and you can tell they were made fresh. I got the carne asada, carnitas, and al pastor. Out of the three my favorite was the carnitas. Appreciated the amount of limes provided and the two sauces (both had great flavors). Only reason for 4 vs 5 stars is rice and beans. The rice was hot but not anything special, the beans were on the cold side. All that said I will definitely be back to try the birria tacos!

10/10 would recommend.
I’ve been looking of a really good authentic spot locally after returning from California.
I will definitely be returning. Food was fantastic, Owner was a nice guy to take to, and restaurant was super simple and clean.
I also look forward to their future goals. I hope to see the future business goals take action!

Just stopped by after seeing there was a Labor Day pre-opening on Facebook. We got two asada tacos and two chorizo tacos to go. No exaggeration… probably one of if not THE BEST authentic tacos in the area! So flavorful! The salsa that comes with the chips and salsa may be my new favorite. SO GOOD!
Thankful for this addition to Shelby Township and it’s right down the road!
Congratulations on the soft opening! We can’t wait until the dine-in restaurant is open!

I really wanted to like this place, it’s a block away from my job. It’s new, clean and orderly. There are only 2 tables with chairs for now so the focus seems to be carry out. It appeared that there is work being done next store so maybe more of a full service restaurant is in the future. I walked in with a gentleman that said their food is really good, I let him go first so I could look the menu over. I settled on a Nacho with the description of loaded cheese, lettuce, Pico de Gallo jalapeños and sour cream. What I got were chips swimming in queso and sour cream, covered in shredded lettuce and some cut up tomatoes sprinkled about. The person preparing the food was also taking orders, her attitude was brusque and short. There was an older gentleman there just standing around. I know the restaurant business is difficult and I sympathize, maybe someone called off, maybe they run like this all the time. But when I asked for napkins and silverware the heavy sigh and the slight eye roll wasn’t necessary but as I walked to my car I said to myself after seeing the food she brought to the customer who ordered before me, if mines looks that good and is enjoyable I would probably let the bad service go and give another chance, but I got neither.
