We ordered tacos de asada. I had mine on flour tortillas, and the others in our group ordered theirs on corn tortillas. I also got a sincronizada, which is kind of like a quesadilla but made with two smaller flour tortillas instead of one big folded one. It was filled with carne asada and melty cheese, simple but very satisfying. The food came with sauces and pickled onions on the side so you can customize each bite.
The tacos on flour tortillas were very good. The tortillas had flavor and held up well with the meat and toppings. The corn tortillas, however, didn’t get the same reaction. For some reason, they tasted a bit bland compared to the flour ones, which really stood out more in terms of flavor. The carne asada itself was well cooked and seasoned perfectly — tender, tasty, and not overly greasy. My only real complaint is that I wish the tacos were a bit bigger.
One of the highlights was the salsa tatemada. The flavor was delicious — smoky, roasted, and rich — but unfortunately it was a bit spicier than I would have liked. Once the heat kicked in, it became harder to fully appreciate the roasted vegetable flavors in the sauce and on the tacos. If you handle spice better than I do, you might absolutely love it.
All in all, this is a good spot to grab tacos and a sincronizada in Nogales. It has that classic hole-in-the-wall charm, solid carne asada, and tasty sauces. Give it a shot — especially if you’re a fan of spice.
The prices are current as of 11/2025
It’s a small non assuming Taqueria with a few tables, a big fan and open to the street. The food is great, service very good and the price is right. I ordered tacos at 50/Cents a piece. The shells are smaller with plenty of meat. It comes with chopped cabbage, onions and three choices of salsa.
The tacos are very good, and I can’t wait to try other things on the menu.
The Taqueria don’t serve alcohol but offer several choices of soft drinks. If you are in a hurry, you can just order to go. I highly recommend Yaqui’s Obregon and definitely will be back again. Bobby our driver for Coyote Dental recommended that I try it, and it was great advise.
Still fantastic though.
