I really wanted to like Taqueria Las Comadres. I’ve always been a fan of dive taco shops. You almost miss it as it’s tucked in right next to the 7-11.
I ordered one of my staples – a chile verde burrito. Their burritos include rice, beans, and cilantro, which they check with you prior to ordering to make sure you want. I did say yes to all of these. But… It’s not a rice and bean burrito with Chile verde, it is a chile verde burrito with rice and beans. Or at least it’s supposed to be.
First, more rice and beans than pork. Second, my second and third bites were all fat.
I get it that businesses, small businesses especially, are struggling to get by right now. But what they need to remember, is so are many of their customers.
Don’t get me wrong. The pork was flavorful and tender. It’s just that it wasn’t trimmed as well as it could have been. And the burrito proportions should keep in mind what you’re calling the burrito.
Taqueria Las Comadres could be a 4 or 5 Star restaurant. They just need to remember who they’re serving as well as their own bottom line.

We stopped here for lunch. It is a small but cozy place with music and cheerful decorations. You order at the register and your food is brought to your table. The person at the register was very friendly and checked to see that we wanted all the ingredients in our meal. There are several vegetarian options for people who don’t eat meat. The chile relleno burrito was delicious and very filling…not spicy at all so I added the hot sauce from the table which was very good. My lunch guest really liked the fish burrito with chipotle sauce. The condiments/salsa bar was filled with lots of tasty options (loved the pickled onions!). There were plenty of people coming in so I think it is a well loved place. Very welcoming vibe!

We stopped by on a Sat night at 8:58, not realizing they close at 9. The employees were very nice and let us order so last min. It was very clean and inviting. They have a salsa bar for dining in patrons.
We ordered the birria soup (beef), 4 tacos combo, carne asada burrito, and chicken burrito. We all really enjoyed the food. The burritos were loaded with meat. We will definitely be back.

I’ve been following Taqueria Las Comadres on Instagram and they always post photos of their delicious food, so I took my familia to go visit. The food is authentic with rich and flavorful!

What a disappointment!. I ordered 3 tacquitos, and they were awful. They were burnt, the meat was dry and the guacamole was a liquid green sauce not even Taco Bell would give!

Wow. I went to this place for my lunch break saw it cause I was gonna go to the 711 I almost missed it. I went in and this is a very great looking clean elivated restaurant. It’s a very welcoming enviting with a huge menu. I tried the tacos because I didn’t wanna fill up to bad so I ordered with cashier Maribel. When the food came it was brought out to me and I was stunned by how great it looked I had to share. Don’t get me started on the the taste because it was amazing. Come here.

Very small CLEAN place . Always packed at 12pm. Their Mexican dishes are good. Chicken nachos are delicious, carne asada burrito are so Good too. Ladies here are so nice. Service is pretty fast and very friendly
