I’ve ordered from here quite a bit and it’s pretty inconsistent. It’s hard to find a vegan torta and Venganza’s Chile Rojo torta is usually really good but there have been a lot of times, especially recently, where they omit ingredients. Tonight, they forgot to pack the lettuce, tomato, and cilantro pack. Sucks, but ok. I understand forgetting to put those in the bag.

But they also didn’t put avocado on the torta or press it. They also stopped including the pickled carrot/cauliflower. Now it’s an additional $1.50, at the same time that their torta increased $2 in price. So I’m missing 5 ingredients but paying more. Awesome.

Ordering through Clover also sucks. There’s no way to resolve problems with an order there. We wish we had ordered somewhere else tonight. 🙁

At this point, I don’t see myself eating here again.

We catered Venganza for a birthday party, and the food was phenomenal! We got the taco bar, so we had a sampling of all the different “meats”, and each one was delicious! Full of flavor and great texture. Plus, the handmade tortillas, pickled veggies and salsas were all so tasty! All our guests were raving about it, and were blown away that it was all vegan. The owners were great to work with – super professional and responsive! Plus, the dessert menu is incredible. We got cupcakes and they were a masterpiece – beautifully decorated (based on our party theme!) and absolutely delicious! Thank you so much!

THIS PLACE IS AMAZING! It’s the most flavorful Mexican food I’ve had in Bay Area and around. The servers there are very helpful. The place has great options for vegan fillings/meat – my favourite is mushroom al pastor. Love all their salsas, specially their spicy sauce and macha salsa (Mexican chilli oil with seeds and nuts.) Love the coffee too!

The food here is always absolutely delicious, and a generous portion. The pastries are always exceptionally phenomenal, but often sold out. Ginger Bakes out a lot of love into the craft and the demand is high, so get them if you can. Those chocolate chip marzipan cookies and soft and gooey and crunchy all at once, and not overly sweet.

Every single protein is delicious in all forms that I’ve tried so far. There’s too much good to go into the details of everything because I’ve tried so much here yet never enough. Some express pure authenticity in new vegan light (pozole) and others are creative harmony (the Japanese sweet potato tacos are my favorite!) The burritos are big and the tacos stuffed and doubled up on tortillas of course.

The only downside I ever face coming here is unfortunately a consistent problem. For a establishment to be to-go only, and busy often, packaging can be a little rough here. Don’t let this worry you, especially because some items (like the pozole!) and snug and sides/salsas not left too loose. I’ve had foil wrapped into a burrito twice, a salsa lid not secured and dumped in the bag one time, cookies left to fend for themselves underneath ended up breaking, and many tacos that did not survive a very careful handling with a 3 minute straight shot drive home. If you can snag a table here or at white horse, the fresher the better!

The carnitas burrito was delicious and big! I didn’t ask for any add-ons and the burrito was still two servings. I eat meat and if I didn’t know the carnitas were soy, I would have had no idea. The taste and texture felt exactly like pork carnitas to me. The salsas, arroz, and frijoles all complimented the carnitas and each other.
My daughter and I split orders of the pozole. Venganza’s pozole reminded me of the pozole I grew up with at home. I savored every drop.

One of the best restaurants I’ve ever eaten at, let alone the best vegan restaurant. Don’t even come here just for the vegan food, everything is fantastic. You can taste the love and the portion sizes are huge. Their crunch wraps are absolutely phenomenal and I guarantee you have never tried anything like it. Their carnitas are great and chips are homemade. Also, everyone working here is so kind. Thank you <3

A few months ago, I drove all the way from Benicia, as I usually have to do for some good vegan food. Brought my non-vegan sister-in-law with me. I forgot to leave a review at that time. We ordered 3 burritos which equaled at least 6 meals. We got the barbacoa, the mushroom, and the fried “chicken” burritos. 10/10 If I lived closer, I would be there all the time! Oh yea, the owner was the one who took our order. What a nice guy! Can’t wait to go back!

Wanted to try it out as it’s had great reviews. Service was very friendly and quick. We dined outside and it was nice. We ordered the special tostada with sweet potatoes, nachos with mushrooms and jalapeños, burrito and torts. The tostada and burrito were delicious. The nachos were salty and the cheese used was . The mushrooms were also salty and felt greasy. All the food was in boxes and they don’t have plates for dining at the restaurant. Ended up with lot of plastic and boxes to dispose. I wish they would serve in paper plates at least instead of packing everything up. Portions were generous, but price was high too.

I had just finished telling my husband that these were the best tacos I’d ever had when I over heard the chef say that everything was 100% vegan. I had ordered the carve asada tacos with beans and rice and it was delicious. I am literally going back tonight to try the burrito for dinner.xoxo.
