Best authentic mexican food anywhere in rocky mountain. No other mexican place comes close to be as authentic. My mother’s side is hispanic and we are from california where there is a large culture of hispanic food that is very authentic, and my husband is from texas, where there is a large culture of authentic mexican food. This just reminds us of being back home and the taste of real home cooked mexican meals. This is my absolute favorite Mexican place and olive Rocky Mount hands down. You cannot find a better place. My husband had the chilianos, beans and rice. I had the barbicoa burrito with beans and rice. Their green sauce is so divine.
I can’t wait to go back and have more of their food.It is definitely my comfort. We got flan for dessert. The amount of food you get left us so full.We couldn’t finish at all.

Small place inside for dining in, but we were patient and got a table excellent service. Food is also amazing it’s truly authentic Mexican food. Give them a try and support local.

Solid choice for lunch today while visiting Rocky Mount. I was looking for good Mexican in the area, and this place came up pretty highly rated… And it just so happens that my favorite place back home for tacos has the same name, so I figured that seemed like a good sign.
Had a carne asada burrito and an horchata. The burrito was pretty good. Too much rice and more of a ground beef than an asada. The salsa verde was excellent. The horchata was excellent.
Would definitely recommend.

Found this restaurant, and we don’t regret stopping, the food was great, we will definitely will come back, it has that great homemade taste, they have homemade tortillas, many Mexican restaurants don’t do that anymore, but you will find them here, service was great too, looks like a family restaurant, reminded me of my high school years when I would go work in a small restaurant at a flea market every Saturday, you have to try it for your self, as for my family and I we will make the 45 minute drive every now and then to come have lunch here because it’s worth it!

I mean the tamales were good, but I think this restaurant is super overpriced. Enchiladas were very spicy tacos de tripa nope super soft I didn’t like them. Gorditas we’re good too

MUY DELICIOSO!!!
I love this place! We moved to NC last year and are making our way through the Mexican places, and this moved to the top of the list for its freshness!
Made right in front of you, the chicken fajitas and the chicken burrito were both perfect. Mine were even better with the smoky red salsa and the salsa verde they have on the side. And the homemade tortillas are awesome!!
My (adult) daughters and I shared the two entrees and it was plenty for the three of us. We also shared a mango drink and a horchata, and they were also delicious.
Sooooo good… we’ll be back!

The food and service is good,
They don’t have prices on the menu.
Is very expensive for the atmosphere..
paid 30 dollars for a water and chilaquiles ???
I get it if you go to a fancy restaurant but not for a smaller place that doesn’t have heat and atmosphere is not the best.
