Simple restaurant, dated somewhat, has obviously been recycled from previous establishment (s). Clean place inside. Food was really good. Definitely didn’t have the spiciness or heat as I would like . Portion sizes are solid, highly recommend

Food was very good large portion and waitress was very pleasant. I’ll be back to try other items on the menu update I came back a second time and large amounts of rancid fat in the pork I threw it in the garbage disgusting the photo only shows a little of that fat I found

This is a mom and pop Mexican restaurant. The food was amazing and delicious. The portions were huge. I have leftovers for dinner. The lady behind the counter was nice and sweet and very helpful anytime I’m in Iowa and on Highway 29. I’ll be stopping by here. Highly recommending This little place.

It was 54 degrees inside this restaurant today. Seen a cockroach on the counter where you purchase. Food was bland with no flavor. Beans were more of a brown soup. Food was cold in the middle like it was just thrown in the oven. And 5$ for a glass bottle of coke is straight highway robbery. Please change your ways so onawa can have a decent spot to eat on Mondays. Ordered a wet burrito a while ago and it didn’t come wet (sauce) i was going to let that go. But it’s always very cold environment and cold food.

AMAZING FOOD! We eat a lot of Mexican food. We live in Oregon and have traveled to Maine and Florida eating at several Mexican restaurants and this is by FAR the best we have had. The BEST guacamole we have ever had! They also have a cheese dip they bring out with the chips that we never had but ABSOLUTELY LOVED! They even told us how to make it!!! The Carne Asada is what we get all the time and it had the BEST flavor then any other restaurant we have been to!

Stopped in to get a bite to eat on my way home from Omaha. I ordered the Pastor burrito and it was super tasty and gave me the California taco truck vibes I was hoping for. I loved it and I am definitely looking at stopping there again, especially after looking at there menu. I want to try their breakfast. They have another in Sioux City and I look forward to trying it as well.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. I was not impressed with the flavors and style of cooking for something as simple as carne asada tacos. I so wanted this to be a great experience but it just wasn’t as far as the food taste and textures are concerned. Everything else was fine.

This is my personal favorite place to get food in Onawa, definitely recommend if you like real mexican food. The people that work there are very kind and do their jobs correctly

Just ate at this little gem, was extremely impressed especially for some authentic style Mexican food in a small town. Have tried the asada burrito and torta and both were top notch, portions were very generous as were the prices, and the staff was very nice as well, will definitely be back.
