For us food was not as good as we expected. They used Maseca flower to make tortillas for the tacos. The drink were hmm ok they serve allot of ice on them , There was no menu for us to see and no prices to go by on what you can order wish make it very untrust worthy for what it will be at the end. (A price menu is very important for any food business ) We pay $36.00 for 6 tacos and 2 drinks wish we got more ice than the drink itself. If you are on a budget for lunch, ask before you buy. So i would said that the cost per one taco is $4.00 and a drink is $6.00. If it is over price i would have to considered due to the cost of of every think now on day, But for sure we have never paid that much for a drink or a taco even in Southern California where they know how to make tacos.

I was on the hunt for some authentic Tacos and decided to give Taqueria la Monaraca a try. I was greeted by a friendly welcoming host.. I ordered 2 al pastor tacos and the seasoning was just right.. not too overpowering..Homemade tortillas were heaven..they were a light consistency … It was like eating a cloud taco amazing..I got a red salsa($picy on the tongue ) but I like it hot. Green salsa had a nice mild flavor. They take phone, take out and sit down orders. I really liked and enjoyed the taqueria vibe and decor. Hey if you enjoy authentic Mexican food I would totally recommend. The mom and pop places are the best and I’m glad I rolled the dice and took a chance. I will be back Taqueria la Monaraca.

$3.50 a taco!!!!! Just so everyone knows it’s not the online prices! $50 for 12 tacos Staff was also very ugly and rude! The girl up front always has had attitude! Watch out when she charges you I think she pockets some of the business’s money?!? Never have I ever paid almost 4 a piece for tacos?!?!? Especially at a rundown ghetto location I had noticed it the last time I got tacos but after I had already paid and was embarrassed to say anything about the price and went my way. This time I caught her before she charged me!

The waitress is always super rude, she never smiles, never says you’re welcome. It’s like that every single thing me we go there and she’s like that with every one. If they didn’t have the best caldo de res and hand made tortillas we’d never go back. We also tip 20% every time because we own a Mexican Restaurant in another town know we have to tip. They really need a friendly smiling face to greet customers.

What makes the difference is that the tortillas are handmade. That gives the taco the authentic flavor. We ordered a Torta de Asada, tacos de asada, de cabeza, de al pastor y chorizo. I gave it a 3 because my tacos meat (al pastor, chorizo) were a little over cooked. Everything else was good.

Call DDD! The Tacos here are authentic and perfect. Beefy bottom round topped with caramelized onions, fresh cilantro on top of double hand made mini corn tortillas to order. Awsome habenerro puree on the table and fresh lime to squeeze on these bad little rascals! The beef tongue is unreal! Get at least 6 of these. They are $2 a piece. A good deal. The rest of the menu is a mystery. I’ll try something different next time!
