Absolutely delicious. I love how they overload each taco on your order with extra meat- they give you enough extra meat to make a 6th taco! My absolute favorite part about this restaurant is it’s always open late, so even when i’m out working late i always have a place to sit and enjoy some Mexican food Speaking of, their Horchata is to die for!!!!
Highly recommended: the prices are fair, they are always busy for a reason (the food is too dang good), their drinks are delicious, they also sell deserts and cookies on the side, etc! Love this place and i have made many good memories with this place and another location. Thank you!

I’m a taco connoisseur and I can tell you that the tacos here are not good. I tried the bistec and they were too oily, the flavor was okay, but you could tell the quality wasn’t there. The beans were good. I can’t complain on the service, they were attentive.

The service (ticket 592)was good but the tacos lack in flavor. The salsas are very tasty and they 3 different kinds and the saving grace of the tacos. The taco meat was Luke warm, definitely no seasoning on the meat what so ever. Kinda looked like potted meat(consistency). I asked for no grilled onions and was served a healthy portion of grilled onions and no raw onions. I had ordered 2 orders to go and didn’t see it until I got home. I paid for 2 orders of tacos and came out to 29$ I don’t see the value. They are open is a good thing, just don’t see the hype. If you have to and out and about late at night this might be a place for you. Or if you don’t mind unseasoned this might be a spot for you.

We finally stopped in for the first time at this location last weekend and I’m kicking myself for not coming sooner. From the moment we walked through the door, the place was spotless — tables wiped down, floors shining. You can tell the owners take pride. The staff? UNREAL. Our server greeted us with the warmest smile, answered all our questions (we’re tortillas de queso tacos newbies), Zero attitude, just genuine hospitality that makes you feel like family.
Now, the food… oh my gosh. We ordered the queso tortilla tacos, a great option for no carb diet, keto friendly, they are absolutely the best I’ve ever had. Then the tripas so crispy, the bistec delicious flavor, all the ingredients and salsas fresh. Those cheese tortilla tacos? LIFE-CHANGING. Everything Perfectly seasoned, juicy, and zero grease overload.
Portions are generous, prices are beyond fair (we fed 2 adults for under $45 including drinks and tip), and everything came out lightning fast without feeling rushed. They even have aguas frescas that tastes like it’s made from scratch daily.
If you’re anywhere near La Herradura, McAllen do yourself a favor and GO. We’re already planning our next visit — this place just shot to the top of our “favorite taquerias” list. 11/10, no notes. ❤️

I got an order of Tacos de Tripa media dorada con todo aparte and one with 2 bistec and 3 tripa super dorada with everything.
The tripa is super good. They cooked them very well. Bistec is a bit basic.
They lost 1 Star because we got the potatoe media con todo, late and cold. They did correct the problem and we got a hot potatoe after. They also use very cheap aluminum foil. I almost ate a piece.

The meat had a lot of fat and nerves, it was unseasoned and unflavored and it didn’t taste good. We waited for about 30 minutes or more for our order as well. Maybe I’ll give them another chance someday but I would not eat here again anytime soon.

This place use to be good not anymore. Ordered 3 orders of bistec tacos they took forever to give us our order with no customers. The food was nasty it tasted expired. The meat was just pure fat and nerves. I will never come again they lost a loyal customer.
