I ordered the super burrito with carne asade, and it is huge. I was able to save some for later which is rare. The asada was really flavorful and tender, and they didn’t skimp on it!
They have a great salsa bar with several got sauces, including a very spicy habanerao, and even guacamole. Then you get raddish, spicy carrots/jalapeños, limes and pickled cactus. So good.
Service was great. I ordered to go but ended up sitting down and one of the staff noticed and brought me a plate immediately without asking.
Definitely worth stopping by, us it’s I’m old town Auburn, if your new to the area. Good place to check out.

Feeling like Mexican? This is a great option in Auburn. Our highlghts were the Birria tacos and burritos. I appreciated the free chips and salsa bar. I give the food a solid 4 stars, but added one more for the delightful person taking orders.

Low key atmosphere with counter service and 2 flat screen TVs. Chip bar includes noplales and some fancy/yummilicious onions. We always order the mocajete (no cheese) and double micheladas. Great selection of beers from your standard Modelo Negro to Bohemia and Victoria. They even have the Noche Especial right now! The Micheladas come with 3 shrimp, cucumber and orange slice. If you’re grumpy, come here. The kids are GREAT servers. But the mocajete is one of the best in NorCal – just a hint of rice in the bottom and well seasoned. We order one to share between 2 people and always take home leftovers. And yes, real Mexicans eat here, not just gringos.

Cheese Pull!!! I got several cheese pulls from my carne asada super nachos! This place is great – the carne asada and the refried beans were full of flavor, and the chips tasted freshly made on my super nachos. The pico de gallo was perfectly seasoned. I ordered mine without guacamole because I’m allergic to avocado. The service was very courteous and welcoming. Definitely worth a second visit.

We live in Roseville and decided to check this taqueria out because our friends told us about it. Hubby and I each got 3 of their regular tacos. Love the expanded selection of meats. Tacos were filling and flavorful. Excellent Guacamole. Fabian waited on us. He was awesome!! Will definitely be back. Especially since it’s not that far away from Roseville.

We were in the area early morning and was the first customers. The breakfast burritos with fresh carrot n orange juice hits the spot. I’d come back again to try the other items. The salsa and chips bar was good to see as those are rare these days.

They gave me the “Americano Special”. My husband came here a bunch while assigned to the area, he is from Mexico. All his coworkers are Mexican, they all ordered lunch here multiple times and loved it. He was soooo excited to take me here. He raved about their food. We both got molcajete, mine was carne his was mariscos. Mine came out literally 2 minutes after I sat down. I thought that was strange but it looked amazing so i dug in. I took off the asada covering the top and to my horror I saw a bunch of chopped up carnitas and chicken. I tasted it and it was extremely dry and old and not a lick of seasoning, there were a few plain shrimp thrown in also with ZERO seasoning. I dug in deeper and to my utter shock, there was rice and beans at the bottom. That is NOT what a molcajete is, nor is that how it described on the menu. It was disgusting, and every single thing in it was unseasoned, (not even a sprinkle of salt) and old. I ate 2 tortillas with the unseasoned asada and cheese. It felt like a joke, like they scrapped someone’s leftovers into a hot molcajete and served it to me. My husband’s molcajete came out 10 minutes later bubbling and overflowing with fresh seafood and looking EXACTLY how it should. I guess this gringa just deserved the Americano Special. Pretty disgusting behavior. And no I was not going to talk to the manager like a Karen, it felt a cruel joke, like a setup.

Great food! Never imagined I’d find good Mexican food in Auburn. This place was legit. Food tastes like the food my buddy’s mom makes. Service is fast and friendly and the portions are generous. All the employees speak Spanish and English so you will get great service in either language. I’m definitely stopping in next time I’m in Auburn.
