Very friendly service, the watermelon agua fresca was delicious and had plenty of fresh chunks of watermelon! I ordered a barbacoa chimichanga, which was very flavorful, and it came with charro beans, also delicious, as well as rice.
My only complaint was that their menus, do not have the prices on it.
However, the price for two specialty plates and a huge agua fresca was around $30. I found it to be reasonable considering the quality and quantity of the food.
Side note, the chips and salsa are on point.

We just got Togo food and we live about 1 mile from the restaurant. Food was cold, the beans are watery somehow, the chicken in the enchiladas was not good, the rice looks like instant rice, the hot sauce are in premade packages so they don’t make their own salsa and it just didn’t taste good. I wish I could post a video of the beans there’s no beans, it looks like gravy. We never buy food or go out at all cause cost and we spent the money to have cold stale food. My stomach hurts and I already took pepto, no joke. I really want a refund. I would not recommend this place at all. There’s way better spots in Dickinson unfortunately we wanted to try a new one and it was very unfortunate.

No prices on menu. Nice to charge whatever price you want. Chicken Enchilada Dinner was told includes bean & rice was $8.13. I thought good fair price. When I was told the total on the bill including tax of $6.25 came to $13.81. I said tax $6.25 the waitress said yes. I asked for a receipt. The receipt was handwritten and clearly changed (by different color ink from original receipt) showing the Rice & Beans (which initially was told was included with the meal) by itself was $6.25. Sorry the Chicken Enchilada Dinner with extra charge for rice & beans was not worth that kind of money. I WILL NOT be going back. Plus she can’t add.

I’ve only ever ordered to go and I have no complaints. The food is delicious. I saw the reviews talking about runny refried beans, but I always get charro beans, so no complaints. The lady who took my order was very courteous.

The community is very bad. I asked for shrimp chili water and they gave me a very bad red color. They poured mango and added a lot of mallones. Never in my life have I eaten mango and shrimp with mallonesa. Very bad service.

Beans looked like some kind of instant refried beans and they were cold. Rice was not what I expected. I asked for cilantro and onion and got none. I was very disappointed in this restaurant. Not at all what I would call a “Mexican Restaurant” For the price it was absolutely not worth it. I definitely will not recommend or return to this restaurant. The only reason it gets one star is because I can’t leave zero. Very disappointed…

I visited Taquería La Chaparrita with my son, and it was an amazing experience. I ordered a barbacoa torta and a pineapple water, while my son ordered tacos al pastor and a fajita torta. Everything was delicious! We highly recommend it.
