What does LaQuinta mean in Spanish?
Next to Dennys.
Well, this looks like it used to be a dennys and it’s next to hotel that looks like it used to be a LaQuinta. 🙂
Food was good and served quickly. The service was attentive, but not clear as to how/ who to pay. After the plates were cleared and I sat there for several minutes, I approached the counter. Even then I waited for someone to come and take payment.
For the price, I would definitely return. Be aware of the construction in the area. I missed the entrance and had to circle around.

Came in a few minutes before closing and they still made us food. Wish we would have came in sooner because food was great environment was nice and quiet. Portions are very big as well and very well priced. We ordered the partials a for 2. Would definitely return on our next trip to San Antonio.

Horrible customer service. Waitress asked if I needed anything I asked for cup to go and more ice and to top off. Receipt shows 1.99 for Agua Fresca refill and I had no Agua Fresca refill. NEVER, NEVER go to that restaurant. And to top it off 6 waitstaff proceed to tell me menu says we charge for refills. So of course I don’t tip bad service.

I cant stand going to a place and they dont have what is on the menu. Definitely they are not prepare. So i order a parrillada and it was 300 percent onion and 10 percent meat. The meat was chopped so tiny you couldnt even see it. Then the tortilla was not hand made like most mexican restaurant. They also said they ran out it. So disappointed.

This food is absolute GARBAGE! I only live less than a half mile from this dump. I got crispy tacos. By the time I got home, they were soggy and fell apart. AVOID this place if you want GOOD food

Authentic Mexican at a popular local lunch spot. An extensive menu with all the favorites to satisfy your cravings and more! The best nopales I have found in the States. Large portions, so come hungry. Prices are reasonable. The lunch crowd is usually very busy, so recommended to come early or for dinner.

I am staying in the area for the week and ended up in a hotel right down the road. Figured I would stop by and try this place since there are mixed-to-positive reviews and seemed worth a shot. I dined in twice and ordered takeout once so far and will likely come back and try other stuff while I town.
The dishes looked exactly as they do in the menu. The tortillas were fresh and delicious, vegetables were crisp and fresh and the salsa & guac were definitely freshly made. I love that they aren’t afraid to put a little spice in the salsa.
The staff were very friendly and the food was delivered pretty quick, but not so quick that I assume the stuff is already made in the back. I ordered one of the steak dishes and it was cooked very well for a thin steak (hard to get medium rare at that thickness). The portions were very good for the price.
If I were to address some of the negative reviews, I think the seasoning was perfect. No need for salt or anything. There was an acceptable amount of fat/grease for foods that are made with meat. That’s where good flavor comes from.
I really liked the Al Pastor. Ordered it twice and will possibly get it again before I leave.

The only issue we ran across is that none of us spoke Spanish but to me the food was amazing!!

Oh my goodness! A jewel amongst a desert of bland, mediocre food establishments. The service was great and the prices were lower than expected for the quality of food. If you have not been here, you have got to go! Treat your taste buds! You can thank me later.

Stopped here as we are leaving San Antonio from wknd visit you seat yourself and it was pretty crowded for a Sunday. The waitresses/servers are awesome. Atmosphere was loud but it was just the people enjoying the food. And after we got our plates I see why. It’s hands down delicious
If your ever in San Antonio STOP HERE!! you won’t be disappointed
