Love how friendly and comfy this restaurant is. The food itself was just okay, but the waiter brought this spicy avocado salsa and it legit upgraded it! Prices were great, and the staff was very attentive! Definitely worth the stop

I’m from Texas, and this was my first time trying the Mexican food here in New Orleans. I made the right choice, because this was some of the best I’ve had! The coffee was so rich and the food came in less than 3 minutes, fresh as can be. Service was impeccable, vibes were immaculate. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for authentic Mexican food. Todo estaba tan riquísimo.

The meal was delicious. We ordered lengua and pastor tacos. The service was exceptional; our waitress was courteous and periodically checked on us to ensure our satisfaction. The pricing was comparable to other Mexican restaurants.

This place is a gem!! Easy to get to, the food is authentic and delicious (and comes out nice and hot), the service was quick, and our waiter was awesome. The meat was so tender and flavorful for each of the 3 mains we ordered, and the lime that came with the tacos was huge and juicy. Guacamole had actual chunks of avocado. Highly recommend.

Absolutely wonderful. The coffee was so cinnamony I love it here
I typically like to get the huarache for dinner, you won’t find that on a menu in many places in new orleans. But I decided to come by for breakfast and am so glad I did.

My family and I moved to New Orleans from Mexico in the late 90’s. We had given up on finding authentic Mexican food in the area until we stumbled upon this place today. Taqueria Guerrero’s food feels straight from my mother’s kitchen. My parents tend to be harsh critics of anything that labels themselves Mexican and they LOVED everything they were served. My dad joked that he was going to steal the green salsa off the table. We tried 3 different types of caldos (pozole, caldo de res, menudo) that were delicious. We tried the street style tacos and they were delicious and filling. The server recommended the churros and it was a great idea. Amazing service and recommendations! We were immediately served chips and salsa upon being seated. My family agreed that we will be making this a regular place for us!

The best Mexican food in New Orleans. The kindest people. If anyone deserves your business, it’s them!!

The food here is delicious. There is a little inconsistency in portion sizes though. For example, the chimichanga is massive (enough for two meals if you don’t eat a whole lot) but the quesadilla is very small. That’s the only reason I gave them a four star for food.
Service gets a four star because it’s a tad slow sometimes. The servers are very kind, but they sometimes forget to refill your drink, get you a to-go box, etc., forcing you to flag them down. Not too big of an issue though. Certainly wouldn’t prevent me from returning.
Not much to say on the atmosphere other than the restaurant is clean and colorful.
Overall, this is one of my favorite Mexican restaurants (certainly in New Orleans). I have gone to this restaurant several times and will continue to do so.

Pretty good. The breakfast is rich but not exceptional. The interior is filled with Mexican knick-knacks and mexican nostalgia. The menu is bountiful but nothing profound really stands out.
The staff is friendly and the area is one of the liveliest in the city

This place has really good food. Isn’t too much more expensive than other Mexican Restaurants in the area, but the food is worth it. Will be back again to try the Menudo.
