This Taqueria spices their food like authentic Mexican food should taste. There’s flavor packed in every bite, with 4 different home made salsas that offer plenty of added heat for those seeking an oral heat wave. We arrived about 8 pm Sunday to a packed house, a festive and happy mood filled the air, with staff hustling to serve and clean tables, we were greeted promptly and with genuine friendliness, a booth was given up early by a couple of regulars so that we could be seated; they moved to the bar for a night cap, shout out to the couple for such a nice move. Of the dozen or so Mexican restaurants we’ve patronized within the Grand strand, TG in MB (and Conway)in my opinion offers the most authentic flavors of Mexico and includes a festive vibe. We’d love to see one open closer to the north strand areas of NMB or L. River. ;). For now, we look forward to our trips to the south strand and Conway to enjoy a stop for reasonably priced and very tasty Mexican food and the happy atmosphere that stands out over the dozens of other over rated eating establishments along the GS. The lone singer sang with power and in good tone, so good I didn’t know it was live until he visited our table accepting song requests. A truly enjoyable experience with no expectations, and no hidden fees either. I highly recommend TG for those seeking vg authentic Mexican food and friendly service. We will be back soon.

Overall, our experience was okay. We walked in and weren’t greeted so we sat ourselves. In the back.
We ordered drinks & got the drinks after a few minutes, with the exception of some water. We placed our food order around 2:20pm. After 20 minutes of getting the other drinks, we asked for the cup of water again and a server with a bow (not our server but she was super friendly!) helped us out.
We got half our order around 3:10pm and the fries were cold. After another 10 minutes we got the other half of the order. Everything was delicious! The chilaquiles were my favorite, they’re a little spicy but the sauce was well balanced and authentic. Their horchata is also delicious.
I think it’d be best to visit at a non-peak time if you want eager service that matches the price point. We didn’t get checked up on by our server until we were already finished eating.

My absolute favorite Mexican place in Myrtle Beach. I order from here about twice per month and always have a great experience with the food. I always recommend going in and ordering rather than ordering through a delivery service so you can verify the correct order because they have been known to forget items from time to time. But that doesn’t deter me at all from eating here. The food is always excellent!

Wife picked up some tacos for the kids and us. They literally gave her tomato tacos, like really, no meat at all. Chips were stale, very stale! They used to be ok but have gone downhill fast, they won’t be there much longer.

It was my first time and we had no idea if we seat ourselves or wait for a worker to seat us. We continued to wait until I got the attention of a worker to assist and got us seated. Restaurant was super packed but we ordered our food and waited over 30 mins. I got carne burrito and it was probably one of the most disappointing burritos I have ever had. It was small for the price and lacked flavor. You can see how the excess tortilla is just squeezed in there which means not enough filling inside. Rice and beans felt like a kid’s size portion. Also tried a pork pupusa and it was mostly cheese. Best thing I had was the horchata. My expectations were high after looking at reviews but definitely was a disappointment. Maybe just a bad day but we’ll see if we come back.

The food is so good, and the salsa they bring to the table with the chips is fresh and homemade. Highly recommend. The tacos we ordered we specified no cilantro, typically they do cone with cilantro so keep that in mind when viewing the photo.
