Hands down our favorite spot in town! We don’t eat out often, but when we do, it’s usually here—sometimes even twice a week. Everything tastes authentic, fresh, and full of flavor. Never disappoints!

I came in midday on a Sunday. The restaurant is homely, no frills, but very spacious and my server was super friendly. The menu is full with a bunch of awesome traditional Mexican dishes. I choose some gorditas, two with barbacoa and two with carnitas. Plus, a bowl of menudo. Everything came out fresh and hot. The maiz tortilla to Carne ratio heavily favored the meats, which was awesome. Each protein was very well flavored and you could taste that big were slow cooked and seasoned perfectly. The menudo was very clean and it too was packed with meat, very little hominy. Great food, great service, and very moderate costs. Excellent meal!!

• You can call ahead to order then go in to pay! (Wait time for what I order is usually 10-15min)

This is a great taqueria that was close to our hotel as we traveled cross country back to Charleston SC. I had the ground beef burrito and my partner had the chicken burrito. Both were savory, fresh, and delicious. He just picked this one out of the three near each other and it was a great choice. He said the staff were friendly and the service was great! This was a takeout order. Also, the red sauce provided was excellent! Highly recommend.

This is NOT Tex mex (Tex mex next door). This is authentic Mexican food. Everything from flavor to plating is pura Mexicana.
No chille relleno on Wednesday but the elderly lady told us it’s Caldo de pollo tonight. The chicken soup is off the menu , is a hearty rich chicken soup with carrots, zucchini, onion , cabbage… and comes with rice and tortilla ($8.50!)
We also ordered
– a plate of 3 tacos
– a plate of enchiladas
– a plate of flautas
– one gordita
– 2 bud light
Chips were super thin and warm + Salsa sauce – both a la casa.
Satisfying dinner
It was quiet at dinner hour (next door restaurant seemed more packed). Only folks eating here speaks Spanish so we are definitely in the right place.
(First went to the Chinese restaurant “Wong’s” which didn’t welcome dine -in)

Salsa has flavor, waitress was polite place looks good not dirty. This big bowl just arrived tastes as good as it looks too. Enough said, time enjoy, I will definitely be returning to this place.

Menudo was delicious, and the Gorditas were divine!!! My new favorite spot… will be stopping here a lot more often.

We got chicken Gorditas very flavorful very hot you can tell they freshly made it. The chips were good and warm not overly salted, they need to work on the red chip salsa it was very watery and bland. Great service and atmosphere was great. Bean and cheese burrito was good for the kiddo, they have a salsa verde which was very good and spicy definitely recommend asking for that. Overall it was pretty good food.
