I’ve been coming to Taqueria El Viejon for over 3 years now and they are AMAZING! It’s a family owned shop, and they work SO hard to ensure high quality food and top notch service.
The space is super clean and comfortable, and we’ve always enjoyed our meals here. Our favorite thing to order is the cabeza tacos — soo good. Their horchata and jamaica is also delicious.
My husband and I took a trip to Mexico, and when we were eating tacos there, we kept comparing them to Taqueria El Viejon — it didn’t compare! Taqueria El Viejon is our standard!!!!
We love this spot so much that we had them come to our wedding reception as a late night taco snack — Huge shout out to Vincente and Vincent for coming out and making it a night to remember.
This is one of those spots that they remember you, they remember your order, it feels like home!

One of my favorite places of all time. The staff is amazing and the al pastor tacos cannot be beat. The al pastor is flavorful and not too oily like most other places. The cafe & kitchen are always clean. The salsa bar is great. I’ve been enjoying these tacos for 20+ years. I always make a point to eat here when I visit the area. Every visit the staff is incredible – so welcoming and kind.

The tripa burrito was okay not the best meat tripa but for the price it’s okay if you’re picky with your tripa I don’t suggest this spot. The Asada burrito meat was cut too thin meat was meant for more tacos then a burrito. The tortilla for the burritos are warmed up too much to the point they are somewhat cracked when they are rolled into a burrito from being warmed up too much. If you want a cheap spot for tacos this is the spot but not for quality. Also the drinks are not brewed teas as they say they are they are actually mixed with powdered mixes for the horchata, Jamaica, Tamarindo

Not disappointed with this small taqueria. Tacos tasted delicious and the staff was friendly. We also ordered a large menudo which tasted homemade, just how I like it. Good assortment of salsas and veggies at salsa bar. Would definitely return and recommend.

Tacos are less than $2 each, about $1.50 on Tuesdays, certain meats like tripa are extra. The tacos are generously stuffed with protein, I’ve tried; asada, pastor, cabeza, buche, carnitas, and tripas. So far carnitas & asada are my favorite.
This place is nothing spectacular compared to other shops but the price is right, place is clean, and the staff is very friendly and helpful.

We went to tacos Los Cholos down the street but the line was SO long we came here. The lady that took my order was super nice.
Tacos were very reasonably priced. My husband had asada, Buche and cabeza. He said they were just ok.
I ordered the chicken huarache, $10! What I got was and elongated corn tortilla. I asked for the cilantro and onion on the side. Didn’t get any. Chicken was super dry and rather flavorless. The most disappointing huarache EVER.
They have a good salsa bar.
We had an agua de jamaica and it was delicious.
So if you come for the agua, you won’t be disappointed. They were apparently closing while we ate, and turned down the lights…hurry up and leave!

Went to this place 2 times on my short 3 day trip to SoCal. The tacos are not greasy as most tacos places so it’s perfect! The owners seems very nice and cordial. It’s prob my favorite taco place now.
