This location has Caldo on the menu a,d the Pollo is awesome at this location. The service from the window help is less than desired. The server is a bit on the rude side so don’t be too surprised if she isn’t that way during your visit. Their food here is very automatic and delicious. It reminds me of my Abuela’s cooking. The service not so much!

First time coming to this place. I had Menudo and I asked for hominy on the side. Delicious flavor. They bring the dishes out to you but we have to wait for them to come back with the silverware and sometimes it’s not within the time frame of the food. They should give the silverware when you pay, otherwise, it’s waiting on their time. Lesson learned. I would like to come back and try some other dishes. A bit noisy but it’s a popular place to eat on a Friday.

Disappointed with my experience at the El Sazón at this location.

I had a frustrating experience here. One of the staff members stood outside and kept asking me what my order was, even though I told her clearly multiple times. She kept responding with a condescending “sure, sure,” like she didn’t believe me. When I showed her my receipt, she said, “Oh, so you did order that,” as if I had been lying.

When she finally handed me my food, the bag was on its side, the beans, rice, and tacos had all flipped and spilled. It made a mess in the bag, and now my car smells like food because everything leaked.

Really disappointing service and handling overall.

Can’t go wrong with Sazon, there is something for everyone. The food is made fresh to order. Everyone is so kind and they have great customer service. This place is always bustling and busy and that’s because they have great food, great customer service, and overall a great atmosphere.

Authentic Mexican Flavors and Generous Portions – A Local Favorite in Kennewick

Taqueria El Sabor was a pleasant surprise and one of the most authentic Mexican dining experiences I’ve had in a while. This small, mom-and-pop-style restaurant was packed with customers even at 2 PM on a Friday, which says a lot. A local friend told us it’s always busy, no matter the time of day, and it’s open until midnight, making it a reliable late-night food spot as well.

What We Ordered:
• Beef Soup: This was my personal highlight. The beef was exceptionally tender, reminiscent of Korean galbitang (beef soup), though the ingredients and broth had a distinctly different, Mexican flair. The broth leaned oily, but the flavor was rich and comforting. Next time, I’d like to try it with regular beef instead of tendon.
• Beef & Cheese Quesadilla: Massive in size and definitely enough to share. Yes, it was oily—but that added to the indulgent, local flavor.
• Chili Verde Pork: Flavorful and juicy with just the right amount of kick.
• Nachos with Cheese & Beef: Not bad, but a bit dry compared to the other dishes. Might benefit from extra sauce or salsa.

Pickle & Sauce Bar: A huge bonus! There were four house-made salsas, pickled red onions with a spicy kick, radishes, and cucumber slices—all perfect accompaniments to balance out the heavier dishes.

‍ ‍ ‍ Ambience & Service:
The atmosphere was family-friendly with a classic, cozy Mexican restaurant vibe. The staff were friendly and efficient, even though the place was packed. Seating is limited, so be prepared to wait during peak hours—but it’s worth it.

Pricing:
While prices have increased a bit (dishes ranging from $15–19), the portion sizes are generous—many plates could easily be split between two people. Considering the quality and authenticity, it still feels like a great value.

Final Thoughts:
Most of the patrons appeared to be from Central or South American backgrounds, which added even more credibility to the authenticity of the food. I would absolutely return next time I’m in Kennewick. If you’re craving hearty, flavorful, and truly authentic Mexican cuisine, this is a must-visit.

Huge Chunks of cardboard found in two of my asada tacos. Called to inform them of it and to possibly get my money back since it was a drive through order. Was told no but they can replace the tacos if I brought them back then hung up on me.

Best taqueria i’ve ever been to. And I come from a rural mexican town in california that has very good taquerias. Taqueria el sazon has Handmade corn tortillas, excellent quesobirria, excellent caldo de res, excellent tacos y burritos. I travel to Kennewick for work once every 3 months. And I ALWAYS treat myself by going to this taqueria. i can’t help myself!

I used to come here often and order the Pollo a La Diabla but lately it has become way to expensive for takeout. They have really been reducing their portions and they charge the plate like if it was Camarones (shrimp) a La Diabla. I got 8 small chicken pieces in my order, a few veggies, and a lot of sauce to make the takeout tray look full when it was only about 1/2 full of food. My 6 year old kid could eat this all by themselves so portions are more of kid size. Recommend going elsewhere for these types of item so you get your moneys worth.

Very disappointed!! First off, I ordered a volcane (which I order all the time) and they charged me $2 more than at the location down the street along with a to-go fee. When I mentioned something about it, they just told me I was wrong.

Then, when I got it, it was about 1/2 the size that it usually is at the other location, it was falling apart and soggy, the pickled onions had no flavor and neither did the meat. The best part was the side of consume it comes with (which I had to ask for).

Not sure if all the locations have the same owners but if they do I’d suggest they get together and make everything consistent. Even the salsa bar doesn’t have the same things.

Needless to say, I won’t be going back to this location anymore!! Not only because of this particular situation, but I’ve had other issues in the past.
