Taqueria El Ranchito is AMAZING. I tried the churros with dulce de leche, the birria ramen, and the quesabirrias, and everything was absolutely perfect. The food came out hot, fresh, and so comforting—exactly what you want. The quesabirrias were packed with flavor, the birria ramen was rich and delicious, and the churros were warm, crispy, and the dulce de leche took them to another level. Every bite was so good. Definitely coming here again—this place is a must!

We went hoping to try the food as we saw there was a high rating online. The lady working there acted like we weren’t even there, we waited for about 5 minutes thinking “Oh maybe she is busy”. But she even pretended not to see us, we did see a few other people walking back and forth whom she seemed to ignore as well. We ended up going to the taqueria down the street Tacos El Grande #2 amazing service and there was even a great hot dog stand right next to it.

5⭐️ Rating well deserved. Been driving by, finally stopped for a late night bite. I had the chicken taco, quesabirria & funnel cake. Everything was fresh, savory & delicious The quesabirria was soooo good. And the service was excellent! The nice lady made a specially customized funnel cake for me b/c I’m indecisive & couldn’t choose lol. And finally a Katy food truck that sells breakfast tacos. I Will definitely be going back!

I was excited to try this place because of it’s ratings being Mexican I was expecting just that but when I received my plate before even eating it I knew it wasn’t it tasted like quick home tacos you make at home with the normal store bought white tortillas. Dry white tortillas. What also was disappointing was that I ordered tacos of barbacoa…. That was 100% not barbacoa it was plain shredded beef. Not surprising since he is a Cuban man . Nice guy but he should stick to Cuban food, might be better than what he thinks is authentic Mexican.

I read the reviews and saw more positive than negative(barely) so I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt and try them out for myself. Especially since not all taco trucks offer barbacoa. The reviews were right and the meat is most definitely NOT beef cheek (barbacoa). I was so upset to not get what was offered and paid for. The tacos don’t have much flavor, the meat taste old and they aren’t even half full of meat, it’s mostly tortilla. Won’t ever be coming back and thought people needs to know, they honestly don’t have barbacoa.
