Great menu and friendly attentive staff. I ordered Castillos de Puerco, and it was amazing. Will definitely be back.Came back for chilaquiles. Very good!

We just finished a delicious meal that was served hot and fresh. My daughter and I ordered Arroz con Pollo and my husband ordered Pollo Asada. The server was so nice and very polite and attentive. She returned several times to our table asking if we needed anything.

This place is legit!!! The michelada is one of the best I’ve had! Their food is served hot and fresh!! I had the arroz con pollo and it had some creamy cheese over the chicken and it was SOOOO good!!! Will definitely come back next time I’m in town!!

Chips and salsa is mediocre, bland and did not taste fresh.
The food was really not that great. I ordered pastor tacos and did not have pineapple in them, the fried quesadilla is huge but lack flavor and wayyy too greasy, the cheese quesadilla was good with fries. The michelada lacks components from a real michelada. Definitely not coming back.

We brought our youth group of 11 people in after 10pm, after being turned away by five other places—and Taqueria El Maguey absolutely came through! They stayed open late just for us, made sure everyone was seated, and served us with kindness, patience, and great food. The staff went above and beyond, and the food hit the spot after a long day. We’re incredibly thankful and will definitely be back. Highly recommend!

I had a hard time finishing this large meal, but I did it. I order something different each time, and it is consistently tasty with generous portions! Good pineapple agua fresca and tortilla chips also. Next time (maybe) I’ll try ordering in Spanish, agree to the gentleman offering a guitar serenade, and take half of the meal home. They do have some wait staff that speak English, to help with ordering, as the extensive menu has photos but lacks English descriptions. Attractively furnished, with a lot of seating in two rooms, (and popular for carry out). (Deducted one star for TVs, as I’m not a fan of that feature in a restaurant. Note- there is another restaurant also named El Maguey nearby, which sort of confused a friend who met me for dinner.)

Pretty good restaurant. Had chicken tacos and they tasted pretty well. I like the hot sauce and tortillas seem pretty fresh. Looks like they are affiliated with the other El Maguey around the corner.

I had a delicious dinner! No waiting. Sat down and right away I had chips, salsa and a menu. I ordered the special. Bistec a la Ranchera. As you can see it’s great and filling! It comes with three home made tortillas. They have Mexican drinks. Orchata is my favorite. It’s hidden, once you find it you’ll want to go back! Make sure to ask for Maritza!
