I always get the regular tacos but decided to try a different kind this time – Taco Al Carbon. Glad I did as it proved to be quite the dish. A type of taco that has marinated meat and shell then grilled and covered nicely with special sauce. Need I say more?

My parents met in the Bay Area and one of their favorite restaurants excelled at chili rellenos… they have been searching for something that comes close the past 40 years they’ve been living in Washington. And Taqueria El Huarache has delivered! Best chili rellenos by far – egg batter that tastes like egg, non-mushy chili, filled with copious, toothsome cheese. And the three taqueria salsas are so good (and you can buy done to bring home with you ) – the habanero is my favorite. The service was excellent, as well. Five stars.

The food was pretty good and the service was top-notch. However, I had a little issue with the water. It didn’t taste too great. They said the water on the whole street was the same, but that’s not actually true.

More and more we rely on this place for a delicious meal. The woman who is there almost every time we come in is the nicest and most wonderful server ever. (I should ask her name…. ) She makes it feel like we are home.
