I don’t know how I’ve missed this spot. The food is to die for!!!! Great food and service. Order is taken immediately and your food is soon to follow. It was a bit busy when I got there but they were very efficient with getting their orders completed. The salsa bar was a very nice touch that I haven’t seen around since COVID. It’s kept super clean which is a bonus. This is definitely my new taco spot 🙂

The steak burrito is really good. There fries are really good with there light green sauce to and with the right amount of crisp. Their light green sauce is amazing out of all their sauce.The place is hidden but really good at what they do . Better then most places around Gainesville . One thing is that there price is a little high from most places but there food is amazing . The place is really quiet to and there employees are really nice.

Me encanta Taqueria el amigo. The first thing that really impressed me was their professional menu. The menu was clear and simple which made it easy to order. They have 2 large televisions. It is a very clean restaurant with an organized and neat salsa bar. We ordered four tortas and they labeled mine so it was easy to figure out which torta was which . I like how they wrapped each half of the torta then wrapped it as a whole. I am very impressed with this restaurant.

Best Mexican we’ve had in Gainesville so far and we’ve tried many places! Can’t recommend the quesabirria enough as well as their barbacoa tacos and carnita tacos. The broth that comes with the Birria was so perfectly seasoned and textured. We’ve had too many watery under seasoned broths to count so this was such a pleasant surprise. The burrito was also fantastic and the salsa bar was a great experience! Service was fast too. We’ll be back again tomorrow!

I like this spot it’s a hidden gem. I like the al pastor tacos. They hit the spot when you want real Mexican food. I would give it 5 stars but they have two cooks that rotate one makes the tacos from the soul and the other that seems to follow a generic recipe. You will be extra lucky to get the good one.

Seriously the best Mexican food in Gainesville. Everything I’ve ever tried is amazing. My favorites are the torta de asada and the quesadilla con pollo y queso. All the salsas are so fresh and delicious and the service is great. I could eat here every day!
