You know, I haven’t had a steak taco salad in a tortilla bowl in so long. That itch was finally scratched for a mere $14.45. The key to a good taco salad is a soft crunch tortilla bowl that easily snaps off. It has to be softer than a chip. This tortilla bowl was perfect. Taqueria Dos Charros’ version comes with finely chopped steak, shredded iceberg lettuce, watery guacamole, sour cream, pico, beans and rice. When you toss this salad, all that stuff mixes well and it does taste good. I notice on the menu, this was supposed to $12.99 and was charged $14.45. No biggie. It seems like they forgot to update their in-store menu to match their cash register. Can’t win them all.

Excellent tacos, surprisingly tasty decried beans and complexly delicious sauces make this a great find. We called in our order ahead of time, walked in, paid and left – all within 10 minutes. Exactly how a good taqueria experience is supposed to go. Plus the food rocked.
My partner got the chicken quesadilla which blew the doors off other local offerings. I got the two item combo – two tacos – and that was amazing. They added 6 cups of salsa and chips for both of us. Five stars all the way.

Charo Bascos
Solid place for tacos. Have been here a couple times, first time better than the last. We came in 45mins to closing but people were still coming in for taco Tuesday. We ordered take out and they only had carne asada, we wanted carnitas. We decided to eat in while we waited for our ride. Needless to say they skimped on the meat, which makes me think they did it on purpose knowing it was take out. Disappointed and will try another place.
Update 11/26/19: Taco Tuesdays does not disappoint here and is the only thing we order. Came back around dinner time and got great portions of carnitas and carne asada. Lessoned learned, come early not late for Taco Tuesdays.

Got a breakfast burrito here – warning: it’s a helluva lot of potatoes!
Service at the counter was prompt (though I was there shortly after they opened), restaurant was nice & clean, & prices reasonable for the area.
If there was only half the amount of potatoes, I would have enjoyed the burrito more…the place, however, is promising – I’ll come back to try some tacos next 🙂
