They just re-opened in this new location next to BusyBee.
I come here at least 3x a week for the breakfast tacos and aguas frescas. I love the egg w/ machacado and potato/egg/frijol tacos. Corn tortillas are hand made and one of the best I’ve tried in Houston.
Highly recommend!

Tastes like home. Everything is homemade. From the tortillas to the aguas. It’s hard to find a Mexican restaurant that truly makes their limonadas. Even the tortillas! Both flour and corn are homemade. Once again, rare to find. The owner, she is so sweet, friendly and attentive! I had the enchiladas verdes and it was sooo tasty. I forgot to take the photo from before I started eating but I literally ate the whole plate, which is something I don’t do normally. You NEED to come here if you’re looking for a place that is truly authentic.

Authentic Mexican!
Service is very friendly and accommodating.
I ordered the Aporreado plate and added a fried potato patty. It comes with shredded dried beef scrambled in eggs and topped with a delicious light spice home made salsa accompanied by refried beans and rice with home made corn tortillas. Ate every bite and didn’t want it to end.

Excellent menu options. I tried the menudo and it was delicious: well seasoned, good portion – I ordered a small and I had left over to take -, excellent texture. Ask for pata for the additional collagen.
Handmade and homemade tortillas
Their aguas frescas are REAL, not the powder stuff. The agua de tamarindo was refreshing and delicious.
I also ordered the Milanesa and chile relleno to go and the recipients of this food were pleasantly satisfied with the taste. I forgot to take a picture of them.

Authentic Mexican spot serving flavorful tacos, quesadillas and traditional plates with many visitors praising the fresh ingredients, bold flavors and friendly atmosphere that feels like a neighborhood favorite. Some reviews note occasional inconsistency and simple setting, but overall locals love the tasty, real Mexican eats.

They moved to a new location just one block away, by the gas station.
Food and service are still great. Still one of the best authentic Mexican restaurants. The menudo and chilaquiles rojos are my favorite dishes but I haven’t had a bad dish here, everything is good.

Place started as a convenience store, now turned to a nice place
to chill and enjoy true homemade food.. if you’re a huajillo lover, this is your place.. Chilaquiles the lujo hit the spot, and come back and have the fresh nopalitos con huevo in huajillo sauce.. you won’t regret it. Sorry about the half eaten chilaquiles.. I was hungry..

Quite possibly some of the best Mexican food in all of Houston. This is their new location, moved from Shepherd. Bigger and cleaner space. Great place for breakfast tacos! Handmade tortillas in restaurant. The green sauce hits. The thick chips and in house made salsa slaps. If you’re in the area do yourself a solid and try them out.

Surprised for sure. I love menudo and wanted to try a new place after church, so this place popped up on my Google search. Definitely homemade food. I mean just from the smell i could tell the tortillas were made in house. The place is definitely not restaurant size, was a mini store, but became restaurant perhaps. Tables are limited, so you will have to wait to get an open table and you will have to wait for food. They had one waitress, even though it’s small that’s not enough help. She was great though and we weren’t in a rush. Food was good. I love my mom’s menudo, but this one got a solid 8/10. It’s in a newly build strip and is the only unit rented, so parking is all theirs really. Definitely stop by and be patient.
Once you’re done, go to the checkout window and ring the bell. It might take a second for them to come check you out.

My new taco breakfast spot, the ladies cooking are so nice. You could tell the food is made with love. Lunch time this place is filled up with Hispanics, so you know it’s good. And this Agua Fresca Sandia (watermelon) 1 of the best I’ve tried, not too sweet and quenches my thirst.
