If you find yourself in Mankato and looking for some lunch, drive straight to Taqueria Doña Tere!!!! They gave me a humongous burrito, the pastor (pork) was delicioussss, and the spicy salsa was the right amount of heat for this gringa! The Guacamole was made fresh for me!!! Their ice cold, sweet hibiscus tea washed it all down! I’m completely stuffed right now I still have enough food left over for dinner tonight. Enorme Gracias to the staff for taking care of me today! ❤️ ❤️

Arguably the best Salvadoran / Mexican food in Mankato. I didn’t have a high bar to begin with when coming here, after all how good can mall food court food be? Wow was I blown away. Prices are low, portions are huge, and the al pastor pork is oh so delicious. If you are in the mood for a burrito the size of a hefty baby, go for Gordo Burrito. Just make sure you brought another person, or a larger pair of pants when tackling this monster.

I asked how much the tacos costed they said it would be about $15, after they rang me up they charged me $28 I asked for a refund, they refused and my food was so cold it had ice chunks on it, the tortillas were not ever warmed they were rock hard, I will never come here again, Horrible restaurant and even worse staff and service.

I am a fairly recent transplant from the West Coast and a huge fan of Mexican food, and I can say without Hyperbole that this is the best-value Mexican joint that I have ever tried. I have been a weekly customer here for quite some time, and they are always very generous by throwing in free tacos or even providing free desserts or drinks. All of the menu options are viable – my favorites are the shrimp soup, two taco combo, and the nachos. I would say to generally be proactive when ordering to ensure that you get enough toppings, such as enough cheese on the nachos or enough shrimp in the soup, but those were isolated incidents and 95% of the time I have no complaints. Keep up the great work!
