Little place off the highway a ways, but HUGE on flavor, personality and family feeling. Our host sang to the hispanic tunes as she walked by our table which really made you feel as if you were a welcome guest eating in her kitchen. I wish i was down this way more often.

I feel so welcome here everytime I come in. All the employees look like they genuinely love what they do and the food is delicious. Its hard to find a truly good mexican taqueria with real flavor. This place is hands down one of the best. If they were open on weekends this place would be packed.
I’ve ordered the tacos, gorditas, chile relleno, enchiladas and everything is so freaking good. Definitely going to keep visiting here as often as I can!!!

We stopped in for lunch on a recommendation from family. Tacos were delicious, better than many of the so-called “best tacos” we’ve sought out at home in Houston. We had pastor, barbacoa & picadillo tacos, plus a fantastic crunchy beef taco. Loved both the red & green hot salsas. Service was very friendly, attentive & quick. Prices are outstanding for the quality and quantity of food. We will definitely return next time we’re in the area.

I stopped by this tiny little shop at random one day and had to really tasty set of tacos. It could have used a little bit more cilantro and onion on the tacos but the flavor was solid and the service was prompt. Prices were very reasonable. Atmosphere is lacking in the age of the building is showing.

Stopped by and could not have been happier we did. The food is amazing, best chips and salsa I’ve ever had. Very reasonable prices and great value. The staff here was amazing and treat you like family. I saw what appeared to be a few regulars and that’s always a very good sign. Keep up the great work taqueria Carmelita!!
