But I think it was because of a fundamental issue with where it’s parked and how far into the parking lot it was. It appeared to be closed, and the lighted sign is hard to see from the street and even harder from the highway.
I was working nearby and couldn’t go anywhere far to eat because I had to get back to work quickly, so this taco bus was in the right place. I was worried about this being a cash-only location, and it was. Thankfully, I had a few loose bucks in my pocket. Because I only had some cash, I only asked for 4 tacos and no drink. The only two meats I feel strongly about as the test of real Mexican tacos are the Pastor and Chorizo. Don’t ask me why, hehehe.
At first, I thought, boy, four tacos for 11 bucks! But as soon as I opened the box, I could see why; they are normal-sized tortillas and they are double. With this size, I could have ordered 2 and ended up satisfied.
**Service:**
It was standard. (The lady that took my order was a white lady, I was so happy to see that.) I showed up, looked at the menu, saw that it was cash-only, ordered, and then just sat on the camping chairs and waited. I took the time to walk around and found another area with better seating and shade, so I moved there.
**Atmosphere:**
Again, not much to say. It had character and I could understand that well. I would only advise you guys to be more visible from the road. There are various ways to do that. The cash-only policy rubs me the wrong way, but I don’t know what to say about it. I still don’t understand why taco stands still do this when it is so inexpensive to accept cards, but again, I am not going to speculate or judge.
The pastor tacos… mmm, well, not quite, but they were good! I don’t know what I would categorize them as, but they were not the pastor I know and love. The chorizo was good, in fact, excellent! I don’t have anything to say about it.
Thank you very much for the good food you are sharing with the community! Hope to be back soon.
