Love this place. They don’t skimp on proteins like other places do…I’m looking at ya’ll, Taco Bell and Chipotle…lol. The food is always a hit. Discovered this spot about a year ago and haven’t gone anywhere else in this area for Mexican food since then. Shrimp burrito, Cabeza tacos/burritos are my main go tos. Catch em on a Thursday for 10 dollar birria tacos ! Taco Tuesday 1.50 tacos isn’t bad but, but doesn’t include any of my favorites, I stick with my favorites. Highly recommend you try this place regardless

I use to love this place but my past 3 orders have all had issues and this last one is just depression.
None of my chicken chimichangas had onion, the chicken was super over seasoned, the salad toppings were dark green long shreds of lettuce, the burrito a la mexicana had onions and tomato in it when it was ordered without it and the meat was overly seasoned and over cooked.
I don’t know if they have a new cook or something but it’s not as good as it use to be.

I read about this place as a hole in the wall place to eat. When I knew I was going to Deleware for work, I thought I would stop here. When I got to the address, I thought I was at the wrong place. It is connected to a cell phone place next door. It looked really small and I thought this could not be it. At first I thought I would not honing, but believe me when I tell you, do not let the looks fool you. This was the most authentic Mexican food I have ever had outside of Mexico. The restaurant is actually pretty big inside ascot is behind the business next to it. The food was amazing. When the chips were brought to the table, I had Never seen chips with refried beans covering them as well as cheese. I only ordered the burrito a la Mexicana. It was so flavourful. The table had a beautiful colorful carving on it and the walls had amazing artwork. I would highly recommend coming here if you are in town.

Fantastic authentic Mexican food.

It’s in a questionable area and some questionable people come and go, but don’t let this deter you.

Everything tasted super delicious. If given the opportunity, we would eat here again. It’s a shame we were just passing through on vacation.

I knocked the review one star simply because of their service. While the waiter was kind and doing his best, I think their front end was short staffed. One person was greeting, seating, took orders, and all other functions of the front prep. He was busy and scattered. One of our 3 meals was initially placed at the table wrong (ordered flautas and recieved tacos)… but we ate it anyways and it was so delicious. We never did receive the tortillas for the fajitas and just ended up using the extra ones from the tacos.

It’s funny what hidden food gems might be right in your backyard! Taqueria Atexcac is on Marrows road in a building I think was a 7-11?! Anyway when you walk in you think it’s just a counter and 2-3 tables but you round the corner and it opens up into a perfectly appointed dining room. Service was outstanding and the food was even better. Make some time to get here! You will not be disappointed!!!

Great local Mexican place, hidden gem..

Chips and salsa were beyond par. Street corn was great, I have had better, but not many.

The tacos were incredible, with the pastor being one of the best if not the best I’ve ever had.

Flan was massive and worth it
