This place is a little different in that you order from a screen at your table and pay there before you get your food. That also means that there is no tip. They even mention it on the physical menu that there is no tipping. The wait staff were all friendly, fast, helpful, and knowledgeable.

We got the Mushroom Swiss Burger with parmesan fries, the Whiskey BBQ Burger with regular fries, the Apple Onion Grilled Cheese with house-made chips, and an “adult milkshake” (mocha). All were served fresh and quickly. The house-made chips were fresh and crispy. The fries were tasty and plentiful but I might not want to pay extra for the flavored ones over the regular ones. They are tasty enough. The burgers were good. Loved the flavor of the grilled cheese but the brioche bread was very soggy inside because of the cheese/apple/grilled onion so it made the bites very gooshy… I actually thought it was too much cheese but realized that it was the soft bread that made it so gooshy. A firmer, less sweet bread like a rye or a sourdough might have been a better choice? No option to change bread though. Another interesting thing about the burgers is that the menu states they make them a perfect medium/medium well unless you ask for “no pink”. This was true! We got one “no pink” and one regular and they were done right!
Our one specialty drink was the mocha adult milkshake. It was boozy and tasty and we liked the addition of the chocolate-covered espresso beans on the top.
All-in-all, a place we will go again as it is local for us. We definitely want to try some of the on-tap beverages (and maybe another adult milkshake!).

TLDR: underwhelming, confusing to order, bad food.

I went here a few weeks ago – I heard a new spot opened and was curious to try it.

When I walking in and looked for the bar to sit at. I was dining alone and didn’t want to take up a table. Turns out this taphouse has no bar? Just a few taps and mid liquor selection behind a glass wall.

Part of what I love about taphouses is seeing the different beers they have on draft and chatting with the bartender or other customers.

I was seated at a table and was told to use the screen to order. I flipped around the screen – but it was really hard to understand. I’m a millennial who works in tech – I usually navigate software very easily. This was so confusing and unclear that I had to ask.

I put in a drink order and it made me pay for just the drinks. I was told that I had to pay every time I ordered something; a drink, an appetizer, the meal, another drink? It sounds silly – but because of that, I only ordered one drink and one order of food. .

If I were drinking beer that day, I wouldn’t have ordered more than one due to the major lack of selection – a taphouse with only 3 beers on tap??

I went for the crab dip which they were out of – so I settled for the shrimp tacos. I will literally eat anything but these tacos were bad. The corn tortillas were stale and kept falling apart.

The shrimp had no flavor. The “queso cheese blend” seems to just be warm kraft shredded cheese. The cheese wasn’t cold or melted, it was limp and a little hard on the ends.

Mango siracha slaw also had no flavor.

Overall – I might have given this one star if the staff wasn’t so friendly. Atmosphere is okay but still feels like a bit empty and echo-y.

Took a friend for her birthday. Did not like that I had to order my drink and pay because I wasn’t ready to eat yet. Friend was running late so just wanted to have a drink and peruse the menu. Had to then pay again when it came time to order food. They charge 15 cents extra if you want a slice of lemon in the water. Everything came out cold and like it was a microwave meal. The mozzarella sticks were $12 and still half frozen. The menu made them sound like they were homemade and brushed with garlic butter. My drink came out with all the ice melted. Probably the warmest thing I had. Paid over $60 for a burger, tacos, one drink, and mozzarella sticks. Burger bun was previously frozen and came out hard as a rock from fast heating to thaw. The edges were still cold though so that was weird. The tacos were all just cheese and sprouts. Friend found something hard in the one. They forgot quite a few items in our small order. When I could flag an employee down, they were apologetic and very nice. Friend and I were both disappointed, but it is what it is. Sad because that area could use a good taphouse.

Food was okay.. my wife ordered the Guinness cheese steak.. she didn’t care for it. Whiskey d burger i had was pretty good besides the over salted fries.

House chips were pretty good, they be even better if they were all crispy instead of half soggy.

Chesapeake pretzel was great, a little salty but good size and good flavour.

The house lager was great, if all i had was a beer it would be 5 stars.

It’s not for me. My tacos were really good. I got a $10.50 orange crush which is little expensive for not fresh squeezed. There is no bar so I felt awkward taking up a whole booth just for myself. It’s kinda weird to call it a taphouse and not have a bar. I’m a socal butterfly and there is hardly no interactions with anyone there. My biggest complaint is the seats are terrible. The booths are all wooden and the back rest are completely straight. There are no tvs either. I don’t think I will be back 🙁

Nice spot and welcome addition to the area. Staff is friendly, atmosphere is nice and casual, food was good and came out quickly. They have a good draft beer selection. The kiosk system may irk some people, and it is a little rough around the edges when trying find an item and having to enter your table number. But very convenient otherwise!

Went there a couple weeks ago, on valentine’s day, for lunch. Had to order and pay for drinks before they bring them out, even water. Not a fan of that system. I ordered a glass of wine and when it was brought to me, the wine glass had lipstick marks all around the rim. That should have been my first sign to just leave. But I flagged down the girl who brought it and asked her for a clean glass, which took quite a while! Ordered the Buffalo cauliflower and a burger. Didn’t eat anything else that day. 14 hours later I became violently ill with what seemed like severe food poisoning. Could’ve been a coincidence but since the food wasn’t all that great to begin with and the service was subpar at best, I won’t be going back.

Good local spot. It’s a taphouse. If you’re looking for a superior meal, you may want to look elsewhere but good people, good beer, and enough food to tide you over.

Food was just okay…meals and drinks are ordered from a monitor at your table. You pay for order from the monitor before food arrives. Didn’t see any options for cash payments. No waiters or waitresses, just servers. Most burgers are $18 and up. Got the Mushroom Swiss burger, it over cooked.…the roll was branded (and scorched) No bar area for a taphouse, although they do have alcoholic beverages available. Restaurant area seemed small, but nicely remodeled from the old Bill Bateman’s but they need a bar area like the Hanover location.

Me and a friend of mine walked in there on the week they were just opening, when I seen The tap House and a place that sells alcohol has no bar, I turned around and walked out, take it from me I’m an experienced bar hopper, an avid beer drinker, you screwed up on that one whoever you are, I would have been there every day if you had a bar and a bartender, good luck
