Service is fantastic, wait staff is funny, friendly and personable. The room is small but feels like a local bar should.
I was not expecting the quality of burger, the taphouse burger is bitter and spicy with onions that perfectly balance it with a hit of sweet. It is BY FAR the best burger I’ve had since 2011. Price seems high till you taste it, there are far far worse places in Charlottesville that cost more.

We have eaten here several times since they opened. Pasta dishes are great, the best Alfredo sauce we have ever had. Had other sauces are good too. Had their fried fish today. That too delicious. A great place to get a meal.

A remarkedly good experience. Well prepared food with a menu far better than expected. The service was good and the beer selection was varied. The bar appears to be well stocked and the place was spotless.
The chef is clearly dedicated and works hard to provide an excellent meal. The pricing is very fair. The staff was on their game, and I will absolutely be returning.
The management wisely keeps the volume on the TV’s down and the atmosphere was inviting.

Great new spot! Very friendly service, good food and beer selection. I love Dr. Ho’s around the corner, but give the Taphouse a try for a laidback, less crowded experience.
