Tapas Barcelona has a lively atmosphere and very friendly service. We tried some of the popular dishes including the highly recommended paella. While the food was good, it just wasn’t quite our personal favorite. Still, it’s a nice spot to try if you enjoy Spanish tapas.

Tapas Barcelona — the food is absolutely delicious with bold, vibrant flavors. I really loved the pasta sauce, and the ribeye was grilled to perfection. I paired it with Spanish beer, which made the whole meal feel super refreshing. The prices are reasonable, the food comes out quickly, and the service is great. I’ll definitely be going back!

At first, I did not want to come to this restaurant, but rather I had to for a Spanish project. After tasting the food I now completely reconsider. So many options and it was hard to choose, but I got the grilled octopus. It was visually stunning and thought it tasted great. For a special occasion I would definitely come back here to try other things from the menu. Service and atmosphere made it feel like I was in Spain haha. I finished three tapas and a glass of sangria, and I have been recommending to everyone who might be going to Evanston. I’m definitely going again if I’m in the area. Grilled octopus and beef meatballs are must-haves.
2nd visit: As said before, I got the opportunity to come to the area again and I went to the restaurant for the second time. The grilled octopus hasn’t changed a tiny bit and I just LOVE it so much. Grilled baby lamb chops were cooked to the best texture. The dessert Bizcocho Borracho was amazing.

Great spanish tapas place! We got a eggplant/goat cheese dish, veggie paella, and patatas braves. Food was tasty and came out pretty quick. Server was really nice. Large parties can be accommodated here. Great spot for date night or a small family meal.

I really liked the bacon wrapped dates. They had a balanced blend of sweet and salty flavors. I was a little disappointed in the paella. It was good for Chicagoland but lacked some of the crispy goodness I’ve gotten from paella from elsewhere, 7 out of 10. The empanada in the picture was very tasty, 9 out of 10.

Awesome tapas place! All the food was really good and fresh and the sauces on all the dishes are amazing for dipping bread (the bread is free!). A good number of vegetarian dishes as well! We also got a pitcher of sangria which was really good and gave 3 of us 2 really full glasses.
