We were visiting from out of town and decided to give Tap and Handle a try after it was recommended to us by a local, and we’re so glad we did! It happened to be a Wednesday, which worked out perfectly since they run their Double Smash Burger special all day for only $7.50. The place was lively with lots of people enjoying the patio on a beautiful day, but we chose to sit inside where the atmosphere was just as inviting. Our waitress struck the perfect balance—friendly and attentive without hovering, which we really appreciated. The drink menu had an impressive variety of beers on tap, and their food menu offered something for everyone. My husband ordered the Double Smash Burger with fries and absolutely loved it. I stuck with chicken tenders and their macaroni salad, which turned out to be a great choice as well. The vibe was chill, with plenty of TVs showing different sports and news, making it a fun yet relaxed place to hang out. Overall, the service, food, and atmosphere were excellent, and we’ll definitely be back the next time we’re in town.

Let me start off with I’m a very type A kind of gal.
The bathrooms are always clean
The staff is always so friendly and very attentive: Chris, Max, Colton, Dean (amazing)
Sauces: house made (highly recommend: ranch, honey sriracha, honey mustard)
Salads: crisp and fresh (I would never branch out, but when Chris recommended the Apple vinaigrette I politely said yes, and I’m glad I did!)
Beer selection: amazing … few places in town to serve Pliney The Elder
Patio: dog friendly
Cost to serving ratio: amazing
The photo is the side salad ( apple vinaigrette) with the mac & cheese with green chile & grilled chicken ( don’t judge I didn’t know it already had meat, I’m increasingly working on increasing my protein intake).
I would highly recommend. Happy hour menu is great. Their wings are very delectable: on the crispier side (old bay and/or honey sriracha is the way to go)
Their chicken tenders & fries chefs kiss
I’ll end with: they have regulars for a reason

Our first time and boy was it great! they have an epic beer selection. Max led us right to the perfect dishes. The bacon chicken ranch mac n cheese which was to die for and the smash burger which was cooked to perfection with a side of crisp fries. Max was awesome and made sure we had everything we needed. Definitely will be visiting more!!

What an amazing spot
The bratwurst was incredible. It was the type of craft brat where the meat is almost loose on the inside. Super tender. And they had some incredible pickled veggies in the bun (w/ a touch of spice)

I definitely love this place. First time ordering from here. I won’t be going for drinks since I don’t drink lol but I will return for their wings! Better than Jim’s Wings and the chains around here. Very kind guy working there today I’m so sorry I didn’t catch his name but he made sure to have it done when i arrived and they don’t normally do orders ahead of time but he was kind enough to do it which I appreciate because I could’ve just waited and ordered when I got there. Was coming from Cheyenne and have eaten yet so I was hungry. I’ll definitely return for their food!

The beer selection is pretty great. But the food isn’t worth the while. Being charged higher prices than fast food, but the food still tastes about the same. Extremely salty, and lacking in flavor. The fish and chips came and was slightly soggy, no flavor, and the fries were stale. Only going back for the beer.

My partner and I love Tap & Handle! We have very different beer preferences, but are always able to find something great for each of us with the quality and variety they offer. Their staff is also incredibly knowledgeable about their menu and have never steered me wrong on a recommendation. Their wings are also my favorite in FoCo. I’ve never had a bad experience at Tap & Handle.

This establishment is unique, friendly, relaxing and has an atmosphere that few places do. Come here to sample a wide array of brews produced locally, for excellent half pound burgers and generous portions of fries and for many seating options both inside and out. I also appreciated the European half timber/Tudor style architectural design and walking inside and seeing the lengthy line of beer taps was eye opening. I look forward to sitting on the large patio next time. And Wednesday nights have half price burgers. Wonderful employees, an unpretentious mood to it all, good food, lots of beer choices and a handy locale. 5 full stars! I’ll be back soon.

I absolutely loved this place! Some locals told me to go here for the beer selection. Both times I had an absolute blast. Shout out to Colton for the beer recommendations, he knocked it out of the park. It’s a special place when you can have Russian River, Maine Beer Company, and Trillium Brewing all in one place.
The food: awesome pub food! The hot stuff burger was outstanding, although there were not much fries on the side but that’s a nitpick.
