The soup that they offer changes every season so there is no constant menu. I will say the portions were really great and the service was awesome!

I would definitely come back as long as they have a soup that I like in roation.

I come here every Friday, and often Saturday and Sunday as well. Tanya’s Soup Kitchen has become one of those rare places that truly feels like a second home.

The staff is always incredibly kind, welcoming, and attentive. From the moment you walk in, the vibe is warm, welcoming, and inclusive. You can tell that the employees genuinely enjoy being there and truly care about the patrons they serve. That warmth is felt every single visit, not just because I am a regular, but because it is clearly part of who they are.

The food has always been consistently delicious. Every meal is fresh, comforting, and made with care, and the consistency over time is something I really appreciate.

This is a restaurant where I feel welcomed and cared for every time I walk through the door. Tanya’s Soup Kitchen is not just a place to eat, it is a place that makes you feel good being there.

We find ourselves here at least once a week – The food is so amazing & fresh every time! We come for the soup, of course, but the salads/sandwiches are amazing as well! Really awesome to have the menu options change so often too. The staff are extremely friendly & efficient, even when they’re super busy. This has become a Wichita staple for us to bring our friends/family when visiting us from out-of-town!

Went there to for lunch celebrate my birthday with my dad today (didn’t say anything so cannot tell you if they offer anything for birthdays, ask yourself sorry).

Tried The Edward and flight of soups, dad got The Club and Potato Salad, ordered to go a Blue Key North(?) with pasta salad and a GF PB Cookie to-go..

The Edward had a lot of tuna salad, no real breaks in texture, which can be good for some, you get your moneys worth of tuna for certain but needed some kind of chips or something, was only able to get through a quarter and should have taken home as I had the perfect chips to make the sandwich pairing to me, a 10 at least, but hindsight.. Dad offered a piece off of his Club and a little potato salad… Not having had potato salad before, I found it to be alright, between that and the pasta salad, I love the pasta salad. The Club easily saved the entire experience for me, the small bite was exceptional and wished I had gotten that, and will if I go back.. The soup flight was alright, with tomato in for the first, garbanzo bean, poormans stew, shrimp chowder and lastly the chicken tortilla.. The Blue Key North had a ton of turkey, small amount of jelly which isn’t terrible, the roll is well toasted, the pasta salad surprisingly delicious and different than what I am used to, in a pleasant way to contribute. The GF Peanut Butter Cookie is good, really sweet (much too sweet to my likeness), wish there was more of a crunch or crispiness to it, it kind of falls apart like brown sugar. The staff at the counter taking the order were friendly and super helpful, didn’t get talked to during our meal for feedback otherwise nothing bad happened, overall decent experience and as I said, the Club saved it for me..

Below are ratings of food out of 10
The Edward 7.4
The Club 9.4
Potato Salad 8.3
Pasta Salad 8.5
Tomato Bisque 8.2
Garbanzo Bean 7.8
Poorman’s Stew 7.6
Shrimp Chowder 7
Chicken Tortilla 6.8
GF Peanut Butter Cookie 6
Blue Key North (?) 7

Overall experience 7.8/10, not a bad place for lunch and worth giving a chance to. My only absolute recommendations at this time are The Club with Pasta Salad.

Did not get picture of to-go order or dads food, what is in pictures is The Edward and the Soups minus Poorman’s.

What a wonderful restaurant! I went with a very large group (27 people) after a conference we traveled from Texas for and staff was very kind when we all ordered. Each order came out very quick, warm and delicious! I ordered the Chicken tortilla soup and it was so good! My brother had the Cleopatra salad and I had a bit of it and it was also so delicious! We bought a recipe card book for the recipe for the apricot dressing on it. The Tomato Bisque is unique and has a very pleasant sweetness to it, my friends got it and i had a little. Staff cleaned up and served tables very quick and friendly. The menu has vegan and gluten free options too! If I’m ever back in Kansas I will definitely stop by here on my trip.

This was my first time at the restaurant. Food and atmosphere were amazing, but the person taking our order was inconsiderate, passive aggressive and rude to my family. I went with close family friends and my best friends grandmother was with us. She suffers from dementia and can’t stand for long periods of time so we sent them to get a seat so we could order for them. The lady taking orders yelled at them as they went to find a seat saying they needed to order before sitting. We let her know they were with us. As we are ordering she asked if we wanted to add chicken to the salad we ordered for my friend. So we thought for a second as she didn’t mentioned it but might of liked it and she said in a snarky manner as we were thinking “well….this is exactly why we want everyone up here to order before sitting…..” it was very rude and inconsiderate because she did not know our situation and it was obvious our grandma needed to sit down. Not only that, but it made my family feel upset and bad for something they shouldn’t feel sorry for. I wont let this experience define the restaurant, but if i ever experienced that again i wouldn’t return and i hope other families have not experienced this.

I l♡ve Tanya’s soup kitchen! I had the chicken noodle soup with mashed potatoes and it was really good. Perfect for a cold day! My friend ordered the spinach artichoke soup and that was creamy and delicious. I also ordered the bread pudding to take home for my hubby and it had just the right amount of spice and sweetness!

My Tomato Herb Bisque and Chef’s Club were excellent. Service was great. Busy place, but plenty of seating for two. Hip and casual place to eat lunch in downtown Wichita.
