My wife and I have been planning to come here for weeks for Valentine’s Day. We had a jagerschnitzel and the goat cheese spaetzel. We also had a soft pretzel, warm potato salad and sauerkraut. Everything was delicious. The Jaeger Schnitzel was crispy but not greasy. The goat cheese spaetzel had grilled crispy onions added that really made the dish stand out. The pretzel seemed like a traditional Bavarian soft pretzel that was brown crunchy on the outside and very soft on the inside. It was served with three different kinds of dipping sauces, which were wonderful. The sauerkraut was delicious. The potato salad seemed to be mustard based and was exactly what I wanted. Nice selection of German beer and wine. Overall a very good experience, and we will be back.

Love, love this place. It is a must stop in Garden Valley. Service is fantastic, atmosphere is lovely and the food is scrumptious. Seasonal desserts are a favorite. We always order the pretzels and dipping sauces. We haven’t ordered anything that we didn’t thoroughly enjoy.

Cozy, quaint, and clean. The best Currywurst I’ve ever had! Pretzels and Spaetzle were delicious. Super friendly staff. Little bit of a wait, but worth every second. We’ll definitely be back with friends and family next time. Prost!

Great little getaway! My daughter and I were looking for something new to try, somewhere new to find and feel like a mini vacation.
This place hit the nail on the head! The warm atmosphere with the choice to sit in the open out doors and enjoy nature up in the mountains or to dine in and escape from the chilly night once the sun goes down was perfect! Stephanie was so kind and sweet. She helped with suggestions and just brought a level of joy to serving us that made us feel like we were so special. I think we needed that more than the fuel for our bellies, as we left with such full hearts.
Closest authentic German food on this side of the world that we have ever experienced. Each dish was severe with love, and we love each dish!

Authentic German cuisine with a short, focused menu that they have perfected. Great atmosphere that fits well with the community. If you enjoy Schnitzel and German Beer, this is the restaurant where you should stop to visit.

This place was quaint but you still felt like you had privacy and was very comfortable seating. The drinks were perfect with a huge selection and the food was out of this world! I felt so connected to my Oma (who has now passed) it almost brought me to tears. This place is a MUST!!! Loved it!

I might be a little bit biased because I am German, but this place is very wonderful. The location in the Idaho mountains is very scenic and is ideal for a day or weekend getaway from e.g. Boise. The family owning this business came from Germany a couple years ago and are very warm and welcoming hosts. The food is for sure the best German food I have had in the US so far, as authentic as it gets with the available ingredients.I need to mention the “Spätzle”, they were exactly like my grandmother makes them. The “Leberkäs” wasn’t my favorite, might have been a different style than what I am used to and expected, but still tasted pretty good. All the other food we had was very good , the prices are fair and the service is quick. I didn’t have a chance to try their German beer, but the selection looks pretty promising. There are some cute traditional German details incorporated into the decoration, but it’s not too stereotypical which I liked. If I had anything bad to say, I would, but Tante Emma is really worth a visit!

Great little spot in Crouch. Schnitzel was perfect – along with sauerkraut. Lots of options on the menu – the pretzel with sauces/dips was great, bratwurst, and kids spaetzle noodles with gruyere were all very good. It’s like stepping into Leavenworth in Idaho. Great service, clean, and cozy.

THE best place to eat in Crouch. When we cone up, this is where we eat for all our meals! The mulled wine is bomb.
