One of the best dining experiences we’ve ever had!
Dinner at Tante Charlotte was just incredible. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with this calm, confident warmth that immediately made us feel at home. What amazed me most is that it’s just him — one person running the whole restaurant. He greets you, explains the menu, serves every table, and somehow makes it all look effortless.
The whole night had this relaxed rhythm to it — great food, candlelight, and a playlist that was obviously chosen with care. When I stepped away for a minute, he handed my wife a book to flip through — such a simple, thoughtful gesture that summed up the spirit of the place.
He walked us out at the end of the night, just as gracious as when we arrived. The food was fantastic, but it’s the atmosphere and the genuine hospitality that make this place unforgettable. When we come back to Bordeaux, we’ll absolutely be back at Tante Charlotte. Book it!

We had the full dinner for two which included two glasses of champagne, two appetizers, two entrees, two desserts, a bottle of wine and coffee. Each course was delicious, but we particularly enjoyed the avocado and bacon app, the duck, and the house dessert (sponge cake with pears, caramel sauce and whipped cream). The owner took individual attention to each table making everyone feel like welcome guests . His wine recommendation was spot on! I highly recommend dining at this restaurant.

Don’t go, RUN to this place. It was dinner with a fleur of magic. Amazing atmosphere. Exceptional service. Great selection of wine. Very very very very tasty dishes!!!!!And very nice music that accompanies your dinner. It’s definitely hidden gem of Bordeaux. Highly recommend!

You must book and arrive on time.
The restaurant is very popular and if you don’t arrive on time will give your table away.
We struggled to book by phone so stopped by the night before and booked.

Wow, what an experience! The setting was great, the wine and aperitif delicious, the food excellent! But what made the experience was the waiter. He was funny, flamboyant and fabulous! A great night from start to finish!
Definately recommend booking ahead, often booked out days in advance.
