Can’t recommend enough. This is a place you come for the food, and it delivers. I highly recommend you try something new from the Indonesian menu because they are offering dishes that are hard to find!! I used to live in Toronto and couldn’t get Soto!

Respect the chilis – my husband cried but kept eating because his rica rica was so good!

This place is unreal. I am a long-time Tan’s fan since they opened. I’m so glad the Indonesian food is back! The full Indonesian menu is incredible, and these are things I have not found anywhere else in the U.S. Even in Indonesia, it is hard to find these regional dishes without visiting the regions themselves.

Everything we ordered was full of flavor and delicious. Huge portions and generous amounts of protein. The spice in the sambal is no joke! Of course, all the Chinese food we got was still delicious as well. Overall, this is still such a unique place, and we are so lucky to have it in Tallahassee!

I have many good memories of eating at buffets with my family and kids over the years, and I feel a little sad about it being takeout orders only now. But still, it’s one of the best asian foods in Tallahassee! The owner is so sweet, and the service is excellent everything is fresh. So delicious.

Tans used to have the best handmade egg rolls in town since China Gourmet on North Monroe Street in the 1980’s and early 1990’s!! Tans egg rolls used to be hot, fresh, crispy with tons of pork and were short and stubby with an incredibly crispy deep brown fry! It was apparent tonight they were frozen. I ordered a handful or them tonight expecting those glory days. I was extremely disappointed and I wouldn’t have drove halfway across the town for frozen egg rolls that were warm at best. I passed three strip mall Chinese restaurants that would have been as good or better and would have had them hot. I should have known when I went in to order the kid who took my order told me it would be five minutes and he appeared after about a minute. They are definitely not worth your money! Never going back! Such a shame!

The lady at the counter was super friendly.

The meat and tendon in the beef noodle soup needed more time for flavor and tenderness. Some pieces were still a little tough. Chicken Curry and Shrimp in Lobster sauce were edible but I wouldn’t order again. I’d make my own rice next time.

Plenty of parking. This was a take out order so I’m not sure if they were open for sit down. No matter, not really a date night kind of place.

I’d order the Taiwanese Beef and Tendon Noodle Soup again to see if they were just having an off night.

The food we ordered for a Friday night in was absolutely delicious! We got pad thai, mongolian tofu, tahu lsi, egg fried rice, and sweet/sour chicken. The pad thai was so delicious (definitely recommend letting them know if you are sensitive to spice, as even the mild spice packs a punch!)
Their app makes online ordering super convenient and everything was ready for pick up within 30 minutes of placing the order. The lady working the register was so sweet and made sure I didn’t need anything else before I left. Highly recommend Tan’s to anyone looking for some authentic and worth-your-money takeout!

I haven’t found a good Malaysian place here in Orlando. Hopefully you find a good place.
With this said took a trip to Tallahassee and found this little gem.

So. If you’re ever up in Tallahassee, Tan’s Asian Cafe has expanded their menu and they have Indonesian rendang.

Tan’s has consistently been the go to Asian food restaurant for my family in Tallahassee. The food is always delicious and the service is always friendly. I highly recommend to anyone in town looking for consistent delicious Chinese or other Asian food. The samosas are also delicious.

I had wonton soup there today. There is no part of it that wasn’t revolting. The wontons were so old that a lot of the meat was on the bottom with soaked noodles floating around in what tasted like simple chicken broth. I do not recommend.

The place appears rundown. The rice is bland and overcooked mushy. My chicken wings over cooked with barely any breading. The sauces were gloopy. Tried twice but the food was nasty and barely edible. No one ate leftovers. Chefs were yelling at each other and get aggressive with one another while waiting for an order which scared me. Unsure how they are still around with such horrible food.
