The customer service from our waitress was really great. Got the seafood Ramen which was really good but they didn’t have scallops apparently so subbed it for muscles.. I will say my only complaint and only reason I didn’t give the food 5 stars was because I got one good tasting muscle and the rest tasted dirty and the fact the egg was a boiled egg that was brown on the outside was a bit funky for me and not very appealing but no other complaints then that. There isn’t many drink options but still at least some choices both alcoholic and non alcoholic. The interior was a bit different with dollar bills all over the walls and the booths were a bit tight but a very good experience though all in all.

Always a hit when I go here!!! I like an hour away from this place and drive to get the pork belly buns and tonkotsu ramen. Don’t skip the ramen egg! PLUS it feels like stepping into a Studio Ghibli film Ramen shop. It’s a little place and parking can be weird but it is so so so worth it. Go here!!

We were really in the mood for ramen to end our road trip and came by this really unique restaurant! The setup and vibes were immaculate, and it truly felt like stepping into a piece of history. That being said, it is a smaller establishment and might not be suitable for large groups.
We ordered the pork belly buns, 2 of the teppanyaki chicken with rice, and 2 of the tonkotsu ramen. The food was delicious, and the cut of the pork in both the buns and the tonkotsu ramen were perfect! The only thing to note is that we did end up waiting 20+ minutes for our food. But all in all it was a great and delicious experience!

Tried the Curry Chicken Spicy Ramen here and it was fantastic. The broth was rich, flavorful, and had just the right amount of heat without being overwhelming. The shredded chicken was tender, the noodles were perfectly cooked, and the half-boiled egg added a nice creamy balance to the spice. The portion size is generous, and it’s definitely a hearty, comforting meal. If you enjoy bold flavors and a good kick of spice, this one’s worth ordering.

Really great ramen shop with awesome decor and tasty food and drinks. Love the funk diner vibes with dollar bills all over the walls and ceiling. We started with shumai and pork buns for apps followed by Miso, Tanpopo Spicy and Seafood ramens for our entrees all with seasoned boiled egg. We washed it down with the Sapporo on tap and everything was perfectly prepared and delicious. Will definitely be back the next time we’re in Albany.

What the heck this place is such a gem. Perfect ramen and tucked into a little vintage diner with booths and everything. 10/10. Want to come back and try every single ramen on the menu.

We had a wonderful dinner at Tanpopo after seeing some video on social media. The ramen was fantastic, we ordered the seafood with spicy paste and the beef stew ramen. Definitely add the hard boiled egg and extra noodles on the side to take home for warmup the next day. The bowls were huge and very flavorful. Don’t miss the pork bao buns: the sauce was sweet and pork perfectly tender. The ambiance is unique and a fun vibe. You can bring a dollar bill to write a message and tape to the wall or ceiling. We look forward to returning again!

Small and cozy Ramen Bar, very traditional taste, service was fast and staff was friendly, only street parking lot, don’t get confident as i when i saw the space on the back, you will have to move.
Other than that, was a great experience, recommend having patience if going in rush hour.

The place had such a cool & authentic/unique atmosphere, I liked looking at all the 1$ money . The waitresses (Alex and Gianna) were so nice and kind to us, and to the other customers we observed! They food was also SOOOOOOOOO good!!! The steamed pork belly buns were the best I have ever had so far in my life! (Even though they were the first steamed pork buns I have ever had in my life), The ramen was so big that the three of us split it three ways and it did NOT disappoint. It was so flavorful and the mung bean sprouts added just the right amount of crunch. And the broth was TO DIE FOR, I’ve had multiple ramen for like DOUBLE the price of this with HALF the flavor, but this had ALL the flavor AND SOME EXTRA!!! Alex was also so nice for giving us a bag of ice so we didn’t have to buy some ourselfs 🙂 10000000% recommend!

If I could give this place six stars I would!! Fantastic service, food is second to none (used to go to their spot in Schenectady before it closed and this is far better!) and we can’t wait to go again! Ramen is awesome and the teppenyaki chicken was amazing! Go here for a nice cozy date night or quick dinner out. It could be in a spot with more room but honestly the smallish size just adds to its appeal…thanks again Tanpopo!!
