I’m really disappointed in the business and ethics of the owner/chef.
I ordered 1 lb of the beef ribs. So, they get close to 1 lb as they can and I understand if 1 beef rib goes over 1 lb. Yes, they are really that big. $18/lb btw. So, I hear him (Bruce) call out the weight so the clerk can put it in the register. 1.17 lb. Total for 1 rib (didn’t know that it was only one huge rib) was $21. I was okay with this UNTIL I got home and opened the package. On my scale at home, it came out to be 1.19 lbs. Close right. So the foil probably added the other weight. I look inside and I see one rib with a bone in it and meat on it and then another full rib bone with no meat on it whatsoever. I weigh the bone by itself and it’s .16 lb.
WHY would the owner/chef add another cooked bone to my order?? Like I said, this bone didn’t have ANY MEAT on it. I PAID about $3 for a bone that I cannot eat and that I did not ask for!
I do not want to be scammed out of money, not even 3 bucks. I took a photo of the ribs as it came wrapped up.
As for the beef rib… it was thick and meaty and delicious! Would I order one again at $18 per rib? Probably not.
I ordered some pork ribs again and they were still meaty and tender.
I’m not sure if I will be back. Yes,some things were good but being overcharged by putting an extra bone in for weight just hits me the wrong way, it’s the same as stealing to me.
Come on Chef Bruce, have some higher standards and integrity in your business.

That pizza was excellent and on point! Pork ribs were meaty and tender. The brisket burnt end that I tried was tasty and tender. The sliced brisket wasn’t as tender as I expected but had good smoke and great bark! Pork belly burnt ends were great. The slaw was good but my opinion needed a little bit more citrus or vinegar and some zest, maybe a small amount of cream?. Potatoes were good. I like the garlic in them but maybe a tad too much garlic for me.
Overall a good experience and I can’t wait to try some of the other meats and sides.
That pizza… great crust. Great flavors, and I really enjoyed that red pizza sauce on it.
Seems like they have special new items or trying new things most every week along with their staple bbq meats. Things like pizza, philly cheese steaks, smoked burgers, and so much more!
Stop in and try some of their good food and tell Bruce that I said hi.

I recently tried Tanker BBQ for the first time. I arrived a little after 5pm. I was counting on having some brisket, and I was advised they had completely sold out during lunch. So kind of poor planning for the dinner crowd. I instead had some pulled pork and a hot link, which was OK. There was no condiment bar, and they only give you a small plastic sample cup with the sauce you choose. The sauce I chose was runny. I prefer it thick sweet, honey type sauce. The baked beans were good and so was the potato salad. If I come back I will call first to make sure they have brisket! Restaurant had a nice, plain remodled interior. There was no music unfortunately…

Ordered brisket burnt ends, pork burnt ends, and ribs. Sides included garlic green beans, coleslaw, corn casserole, and pasta salad.
Everything was delicious, the price was worth the amount of food and quality of taste.
Definitely will comeback again soon!

Folks were friendly. It’s an order at the counter then take your food home or to a table kinda place so very casual. We were so happy they had burnt ends on Tuesday as everywhere else only has them Wednesday to Saturday or Sunday. We also got the cheesy potatoes and the corn casserole. Both were phenomenal. The corn casserole was like the little balls they used to give me at Marie calendars which I loved. I could have eaten an entire quart of them! Definitely a good find

This is my second time here and it does not disappoint. I got the Big Randy which is a huge brisket sandwich smothered in queso and my wife got the pork belly burnt ends which were huge and full of flavor. The sides are just as good. The portion size is generous as well. Check them out!

Feel free to share a meal. Portions are large. Ribs were tender, but lacked big flavor. Big Randy sandwich was good, could of literally had half the meat and still been good. Mac and cheese stack was not well received by the kids, but I didn’t try it. Nachos were good. Corn casserole average. Cucumber tomato salad needs something to balance the Italian dressing. Cheesecake dessert cup was quite good.

Revisited Tanker for Christmas Eve with family in town. Had another great experience for lunch. Everyone is friendly and helpful when you order. Their brisket is one of the best I have tried in Wichita so far. It is very tender and flavorful and has a nice blend of spices. The side selection is a variety and a decent amount. I got different sides both times I’ve been , and they all were very delicious! Everyone enjoyed their meal and you get alot of food for the 1 meat dinner. I would definitely go for another visit when I’m in the area!!! I recommend trying them out If you are a barbecue fan.

Tanker BBQ Co. Has probably the best version of Brisket pizza I’ve ever had (sadly only on Thursdays). The sauce was thankfully not BBQ sauce but what tasted like a San Marzano tomato sauce from from one of the best pizza joints. The crust was perfect in all aspects, but the flavor…. there was a perfect amount heat to play with the chunks of SUPER tasty and tender brisket and fresh cheese. The veggies such as the pickled onions red pepper and green onion worked proper harmony amd makes me wish this was a pizza joint or have it every day….. imma have to try they’re “texas twinkies” and normal menu next but I’m definitely getting another pizza

We stopped by for lunch today. We had brisket, pork belly burnt ends along with green beans, mac and cheese, corn bread casserole and cheesy potatoes. Everything was delicious and the portions were generous for the quality and cost. Our first visit was when they just got started at this location and they have done an awesome transformation! You won’t be disappointed with the food or service here!
