We were a group of five, and this was our ninth visit to your restaurant. We have always enjoyed your food and service in the past, which is why yesterday’s experience was quite disappointing.
We ordered masala papad, chilli mushroom, noodles, and momos, but we were informed that none of those items are available. Since we were very hungry, we ended up eating what was served, but it was not what we preferred.
We have ordered Gobi pepper fry they brought us chilli gobi fry and even after repeatedly asking they said it was Gobi pepper fry we didn’t even sense the taste as Gobi pepper but when the bill arrived our doubt got concluded that it was chilli panner fry. Attached bill for reference.
There was also confusion regarding availability. Initially, we were told that momos were not available, but later we were informed that they were freshly made, while noodles were unavailable instead. This inconsistency made us unsure whether items were out of stock or simply not being prepared.
In addition, despite having 12 draft beers on the menu, only four were available. We also had to wait about 40 minutesbefore being served water, even after asking.
We have ordered fried rice it was not at all as Chinese style it was just like some masala rice and even biryani was not fresh it was just like a tomato bath with no salt in it.We were actually true fans of Tanjore biryani’s but we don’t see the same taste now.
This experience was very different from our previous visits, where everything—from food quality to service—was excellent. We truly enjoy Tanjore, which is why we hope this feedback helps improve the service so guests can continue having the wonderful experience your restaurant is known for.

Best chicken momo ever hands down! The cocktails were also so good, not too sweet or strong or watered down.

I used to visit their original location for years, since they first opened. They were one of the best. And a notable departure from the oily reheated places popular with students. We stopped in today at this new location and were impressed with the design and the cocktail list. Mildly annoyed that the lunch menu can only be examined by standing outside since they’ve got nothing printed. Even more annoyed that less than half the lunch menu was available, and no meat of any kind. I’d still give them another chance because the old location holds such fond memories.

We visited this place late at night as a group of six and were pleasantly surprised by the quick and efficient service. The food overall was enjoyable. We especially liked the Paneer Chili Garlic — it was flavorful and a hit with everyone at the table.

We also tried the biryani, which received mixed feedback. While some of us found it tasty, others felt it was just average. It wasn’t bad by any means, but we’ve definitely had better biryani elsewhere.

All in all, it was a good dining experience and worth a visit!

Honestly one of the worst food experiences I’ve ever had.
We ordered spicy food, but what arrived wasn’t even close to edible. The entire dish was bright red, completely soaked in oil, and tasted like someone just mixed raw red chilli powder into it without cooking anything properly. It was impossible to eat.

It felt like a total waste of money, and genuinely disappointing.

We called the restaurant, and all we got was a basic “sorry, it won’t happen again.” But why would anyone risk ordering again after something like this? The quality was so bad it makes me seriously question if their high ratings online are even real.

And now we’re sitting here with stomach aches after just tasting the food. That alone says everything about their hygiene and standards.

Overall: terrible quality, terrible experience.
Please don’t order from this place — you’ll save yourself the regret.

I’ve always loved the food, which tastes like my favorite Indian friend’s, who is an amazing chef. They just re-did the interior and did a great job. Before it had a bit of a sports bar feel, now it feels like a nicer restaurant.

Ordered 2 Boneless chicken biryani from uber. They had buy 1 get 1 free offer. But turned out the portions were too small. Trying this place for the 1st time, and biriyani is like plain pulao with some chunk of chicken. I wouldn’t call it biriyani.

Jose and Joyce. You guys were the best. U deserve the world. Joyce was so understanding of my friend’s asthma, and Jose was so understanding of the entire situation. God bless the both of them. Peace to them both. They deserve a raise. They’re are truly good men.

Great music. Chef absolutely nailed chilli paneer and Gobi 65. There is no paneer biryani but I personally requested and they served it well.
