Genuine Argentinean and American-style empanadas and subs. Since 2006, we have been creating empanadas for the Treasure Valley and have over 50 varieties -from savory to desserts! We cook your empanadas when you order, so they’re fresh, never reheated or kept in warmers. We’re a mom and pop business who has been blessed to have their dream come true here in Idaho and it’s all because of our wonderful customer family! So if it’s empanadas you want, we’re here. From the authentic meat, salteña, chicken, ham and cheese, humita, spinach, fugazza and even dulce de leche, there’s something for everyone. We also have among our subs: milanesa, choripan and lomito. We carry Yerba mate, gourds, bombilla and other staples from Argentina.
Laid-back mom-&-pop shop garners raves for its traditional Argentinean empanadas & sub sandwiches.

Staff were polite and helpful, and the space was small but comfortable. The empenadas themselves were absolutely perfect, in texture, flavor, and consistency. I particulary enjoyed the “Rancho”, a bean and pork masterpiece. We savored every single bite, so much so that we had to pick up a a few to take with us before we left.
You would be remiss to miss an opportunity to stop by Tango’s, should you get a chance!
The best Cuban Sub I have had in years! Possibly ever.
10/10 Would definitely recommend.
Tango’s empanadas are sooo good. Whether you choose, the beef filled empanadas or the fruit filled ones you can’t go wrong.
After staring at the menu for what seemed like forever I finally picked two beef empanadas ($3.75-$4.00), Gaucho (Argentina original. Ground beef, eggs, olives, onions, bell peppers and spices) and Saltena (from Salta, Argentina. Ground beef, onion, eggs and potatoes). Of the two, the Gaucho was the one for me. It was full of flavor, super stuffed and piping hot! Saltena is great as well, tasted like taco seasoning but authentic.
From the chicken menu I picked the Gardel (chicken in light marinara sauce, $3.75). Super good! The chicken was tender and juicy. Whatever spices were thrown in there created a fantastic taste.
For our pork option, I chose the Rancho (house made refried beans, in-house Mexican chorizo, cheddar cheese and jalapenos, $3.75). Whew, this was a spicy one. They don’t tread lightly on the jalapenos, FYI. This empanada was exquisite, my favorite out off all the savory choices.
Of course, I couldn’t dare skip out on the dessert empanadas. The Chocolate (dulce de leche, creame cheese and chocolate chips) and La Nona (dulce de leche and bananas) are out of this damn world!!! Extremely sweet, I’ve been dreaming about these since I tried them.
Tango’s is such a blessing to Boise! I cannot wait to go back so so soon!!
