I like the atmosphere! It’s inviting and full of folks. Service was non existent, I had to walk around and ask folks for everything. Another diner gave me their menu. The menu is interesting and unusual for this type of place, and I love that. However the veggie khachapuri was under seasoned, and I’m not sure the avocado belonged on an already very cheesy dish.

This is a great neighborhood restaurant right up the street from Green Lake. The owner and staff are super friendly and accommodating. As one of the more gourmet culinary experiences in this neighborhood, their menu offerings are creative and inspired. Among our favorites are the house made coconut shrimp, garlic truffle fries, golden and ruby beet salad, crispy fried cauliflower florets, margarita pizza with fresh mozzarella and basil, and the white out pizza with aged provolone, prosciutto and arugula. The atmosphere is laid back and casual, and there is outdoor seating for nice sunny days. There is also ample street parking, and the area is extremely dog friendly. Would highly recommend if you have kids, as the margarita pizza is our all time favorite– super cheesy and superior quality. They are very accommodating for dietary needs and also do take out so you can have a picnic at the lake. Super fast service. Great family experience.

Was hoping to like this place, but poor service and inedible food made it difficult. It took about 20min to order and half of our party did not get any water until the food came 50 mins later.

I ordered coffee with cream and sugar, but waitress did not bring a spoon. By the time I got one, I walked towards the waitress to ask for one. I saw her grasping the spoon with her fingers – not on the spoon handle but on the part you put in your mouth. By then my coffee was cold.

I ordered chilaquiles. It came with a small salad that looked like it was made and dressed the night before. The greens were completely wilted, drowned in dressing and inedible. The tortilla chips had some kind of green sauce on it and the chips were soggy and cold. The scrambled eggs were cold, tasteless and dry.

At no point during the 30 mins after we got our food did the waitress come check on us. When she did come by it was to drop off a check. We asked that my meal be taken off since I did not eat any of it. She refused and only discounted it.

Disappointing experience. Save your money and your time.

We had an unfortunate experience here for dinner. Wanted a quick yummy dinner and ability to watch some football. (We watched the football!) We came in and weren’t greeted, so we sat ourselves. The waiter seemed overwhelmed and barely spoke to us. We got ciders after a long wait, and there was no carbonation to be seen. We ordered pizza and it came out uncooked. We sent it back and got a slightly more cooked version. The olives on the pizza were rancid. I picked them off. Two ciders and one pizza was $70 (including tip). I’m not one to share poor experiences, but I hope they improve. It was prettyyyyy bad. Photographed is the pizza, limp as can be.

I ate here recently and very much enjoyed the cozy neighborhood atmosphere. Judging by the presence of the regulars, it seems this place is an integral part of the Tangletown neighborhood, and the servers are all about making everyone feel welcome. The food and drinks were great, the staff was attentive, and the vibe was straight up fun. I’ll be back for sure.

I was very disappointed with the food here. It was our first time and I was very excited over the cheese boats.

We got chicken tenders and fries for our toddler, split a chicken Caesar salad, and split the sausage and ricotta cheese boat. All of it was bad!

Firstly we got here right at 3 pm when they opened so I am unsure why the food was all over cooked and dry when there was 1 other table there with us. The fries were so crispy and over cooked my kid wouldn’t eat them. Then our chicken on the Caesar was pounded super thin and was tough like eating jerky. The cheese boat came out and I was super excited for it. You can tell the dough and sauce is homemade. But when I went to cut the second bite I couldn’t even cut it. So I lifted it and the entire bottom was black burnt. Like how do you do that and then serve it like that? We were so annoyed by this point we just asked for the check and left. The servers were very nice and the Mimi Mule was delicious. But after having food that was all over cooked and dry I won’t go back. Also my partner and I both had upset stomachs after too. Definitely won’t be returning

The holy grail of pubs is the spot where friendly strangers chat at an L-shaped bar, with high quality complex cocktails and delicious food. Here it is!! We stumbled on this place while househunting, and being here made us yearn for this neighborhood.
Must have: garlic puffs.
I have no deficits to report. A+++++

Editing to add more. Now we have been here lots! Ordered the fried chicken sandwich. Chicken was a little over-fried (dark). Pickles and caramelized onions and dressing made it juicy and tangy. It’s also massive, so way more than one person could eat.

Ok, I forgot to photo their classic dish, the one that’s recommended, the one that my friend threw out. I liked it, it was interesting – basically a pizza for breakfast with sausage and egg on top.

Sadly, the egg whites were not cooked and it was a cheesy mess.

Perfect for me on a rainy Saturday but my friend, not so much.

The bartender was awesome and a great conversationalist. He took excellent care of other patrons by changing the channel on the tv without pause, chatting folks up, and doing bartender things with a smile.

The location is so good I’m gonna go back and try something else and hang out.

I hope this review helps someone.

Not that great. Service was flat, food tasted okay but pricey for what you get. Our dishes looked dirty, and the portions weren’t what I’d expect for the price. Our fries looked like they were helves to fill another order. For a $16 hamburger I’d expect to have a big side of fries. Nope.

The server seemed bored to be there and took a while to greet us and take an order. Not sure if he even knew the beers they had to offer.

They boasted a happy hour on a sign out front, but don’t tell you what it is inside or from the server.

I don’t think I’ll come back.

EDIT to owners comment below:
Yes, this is the place we went. I contacted Elysian over the phone afterward eating here as the service was that bad. The canned reply they gave is what prompted this review. This review is accurate.

My husband and I love this place. The staff are friends and the food is always delicious no matter what you order. We especially like the cauliflower, wings, and butter head salad with grilled chicken. Such a friendly neighborhood hangout!
