The restaurant changed management earlier this year, and it shows. It’s now run entirely with no Korean staff, and the food has lost both its authenticity and consistency.
The tofu soup arrived half-filled with barely any tofu. Adding bulgogi and rice brought the total to $32, which felt overpriced for what we received.
We also ordered the galbi-jjim, which was once the standout dish here. The meat was overcooked—too soft and lacking the right tenderness—and the seasoning leaned overly salty. They also no longer torch the cheese at the table, which used to add a bit of flair to the meal.
Overall, both quality and authenticity have declined significantly. It’s disappointing to see a restaurant I once recommended so highly go downhill like this. Sadly, I won’t be back.
It was Christmas Eve, so it makes sense they were busy!
Being that we just came back from Korea yesterday, and we were having Korean food for three weeks straight, it’s going to be hard to say the food was amazing, but it was good.
The side dishes were average, but good for the states.
The service was good and the robots were nice.
It’s a nice and clean restaurant!
I like that they have hot barley tea instead of just cold water. You need to ask for it, or they don’t give it to you.
Dropped 2 stars.
Not sure what happened to this restaurant. We had a bad experience in our recent visit.
Food was still tasty, but the portions have been significantly reduced. Other restaurants’ tofu soup is usually full to the brim, but this restaurant serves at best half of a bowl. We thought they spilled half of it, but that’s not the case since other tables were served the same portion. Steamed dumplings – now serving 5 instead of 6.
Service was not very good either as one of the dishes wasn’t served and we had to remind the waitress twice. We appreciate that they decided not to charge us for that one dish due to the long wait, but the experience has been ruined.
Original Review:
First time trying this Korean restaurant and was happy with the food. The service was great – staffs we’re polite and checked on us a few times.
The cheese tteok-bokki was especially good. The doganitang was good with lots of ox knee. Steamed dumplings were ok, I’ve had better elsewhere. Overall it was a very good experience.
However, the service was pretty dry. The only standout was the polite robot serving the tables, which was an interesting touch, but it didn’t make up for the lack of personal interaction. The interior was very casual, almost old-school, which didn’t add much to the atmosphere.
One strange thing was that the check never came to our table, so we had to go to the register to pay. Overall, it was a fine meal, but nothing that would make me rush back.
