I’m really disappointed with my recent experience at Tandem. If you need gluten-free bread, I strongly recommend not ordering anything that comes on it.
They charge extra for the gluten-free option, yet the portion is significantly smaller than the regular version. Paying more for less just doesn’t make sense. They’ve downgraded their gluten-free toast to a crumbly, dry, completely tasteless white bread that falls apart and honestly feels inedible. It’s absolutely not worth the price.
What’s more frustrating is that they used to have much better gluten-free bread just a few months ago, so this feels like a big step backwards in quality. Good gluten-free bread is not hard to source anymore, so this seems like a choice and not a limitation.
At this point, it feels like they’re charging gluten-free customers a premium for a clearly inferior product just to profit a few more dollars and hoping no one notices. If this is the standard they’re comfortable serving, it says a lot about how little they value quality or their customers. Save your money and don’t order anything gluten-free, or any food for that matter.

Charging more for a smaller portion of dry, flavorless, crumbly bread is not just disappointing but it’s lazy and borderline insulting. If this is the level of effort they’re willing to put in, it shows a complete disregard for quality and for the people paying their inflated prices. I waited 30 minutes for mine while everyone else at my table got their food in under 10. At this point it genuinely felt like they had to leave and drive to the store just to grab that sad excuse for gluten-free bread.

The ambience is super cool, the colors are warm and inviting, and it just has that creative energy that makes you want to sit down, breathe, and stay awhile. The staff was AMAZING. They actually took the time to ask me questions and made me a custom drink that wasn’t even on the menu… and it was perfect.
It’s one of those places where you can get work done, clear your mind, or just recharge for a bit.

Tandem Coffee is such a gem! The food is absolutely awesome—fresh, flavorful, and always beautifully prepared. Their specialty cocktails are creative and delicious, making it just as great for an evening out as it is for a morning coffee run.
The atmosphere is welcoming and versatile—perfect for studying, working, or hosting small events. On top of that, it’s both pet-friendly and human-friendly, which makes it even more special. My pup and I always feel at home here. ❤️

Such a cute little place in Old Mandeville!
The food tastes super fresh, and the drinks are intensely flavorful. I got the seasonal cocktail, a Drunken Orchard, and seasonal Salmon toast. I also tried the Watermelon Cucumber Mint Reviver and the deviled eggs, which are staples on their menu. I’ll definitely come back to try more of their seasonal treats!

The customer service was amazing & the atmosphere is PERFECT for getting work done & relaxing after a long day.

This is awesome little locally owned small business. They have a very unique twist on some traditional cocktails and some very unique one-of-a-kind that they’ve come up with. The service there is outstanding everybody we interacted with was very friendly and helpful and answered questions about the cocktails and food. These drinks are very specialized and high quality this is not something you’re going to find at your run-of-the-mill bar. If you’re looking to sit back and have a cup of coffee or unique cocktail or some very unique food dishes this is a place to stop in and try.

I happen to find this place when I was looking for a local coffee shop near me that was not the standard Starbucks. When I tell you, this coffee was so good. It was amazing. It tasted like real espresso and the Syrup and milk blended so well . The king cake cold was amazing. My croissant sandwich was to die for this might have been a quick little pick up trip for me, but I will definitely come here from now on when I run out of my own espresso or when I wanna treat myself to something nice cause this was just phenomenal and staff and atmosphere was amazing!10/10 recommend

Omg this place is amazing! So many favorites! Love the apple ricotta toast and they have HANDS DOWN the best dirty chai lattes ever! The staff is amazing. The atmosphere is perfection. And there’s plenty of street parking, and a parking lot across the street. The Aloe-ha cocktail is a MUST TRY!
