We are a family-owned cafe that started in Easthampton in a beautifully renovated train depot in 2013. Since then, we have opened stores across the valley in Northampton, Hadley, Florence, and West Springfield. With a focus on fresh and delicious food, our bagels and pastries are baked daily in our Hadley bakery and transported to each of the cafes. Our house-whipped cream cheese is a staple for any cream cheese lover – fluffy, creamy, and we have multiple flavor options! Whether you’re grabbing breakfast to-go or coffee with a friend, Tandem Bagel welcomes all to our family-friendly cafe.

My cinnamon raisin bagel, beyond looking like a pumpernickel bagel, tastes like an everything bagel. What’s up with the weird seeds or whatever on the bottom? How hard would it be to not prep and bake your sweet bagels on the same sheets as your savory bagels? I guess that’s what happens when your entire operation is managed by high schoolers. Bottom line, the bagels at Tandem aren’t awful (like their coffee is) but they’re about the worst I’ve ever had. Also, beware of their non dairy cream cheese option, it was literally rancid last time I ordered it. And that’s why one star— you can have awful bagels, your coffee can taste like mud, but once you serve me food that has obviously expired or gone bad, that’s where I draw the line. Truly a top-notch place for bagels and smoothies. But the caffeine drinks leave something to be desired. Seems like the main issue is messy preparation getting liquid all over the rim since they leak like a sieve even with a tight lid.
