Menu has some errors though, I ordered a sake where it said 330ml and out came an even tinier bottle of 50ml… It’s also very cold inside, we ended up sitting on the patio.
This was a nice surprise for a strip mall restaurant. We enjoyed the tonkotsu, rich garlic, Kim chee, classic and combination ramen. The staff were accommodating for a group of 6, even when it was pretty busy.
Plan to return again soon.
My husband and I ordered Spicy Creamy Vegan Ramen, it was so good, I didn’t want to be over
Takoyaki-octopus Ball (always served fresh and hot)
Tanaka Garlic Volcano (I was worried it would be too spicy but it’s perfect amount of spicy)
Beef Sukiyaki Tonkotsu (love the broth)
Tanaka Classic (always classic)
The ramen here is absolutely phenomenal. The broth is rich, flavorful, and perfectly balanced-not too salty, but packed with umami. The noodles have just the right amount of chew, and the toppings are fresh and generously portioned. I had Tanaka Classic , and it was hands down one of the best bowls l’ve ever had.
The chashu pork was melt-in-your-mouth tender, and the soft-boiled egg was perfectly cooked with a creamy, golden yolk.
However, the food was delicious! We really enjoyed our ramen. I loved that they had the option to build your own ramen bowl! I enjoyed picking my broth, thick vs. thin noodles, spice level, and my toppings. The miso broth and noodle-to-broth ratio were excellent. My husband enjoyed his choice of a spicier Tori broth. Noodles were chewy and a perfect texture. We noticed around 6pm the place got very busy with several parties waiting outside. I wouldn’t go during peak hours because of the slow service, but would definitely go back for their ramen!
Plenty of free parking in the Foodland parking lot and I appreciated that they had vegan and vegetarian options for those that eat that style.
Overall, I recommend checking out this new ramen spot.
