I am so glad we got to try this spot during our trip to the northshore—it was an absolute highlight!
Let’s get straight to the star of the show: the shrimp. We ordered both the spicy garlic shrimp and the salt and pepper shrimp, and I can confidently say they are totally recommended! The shrimp itself was incredibly fresh and tender. The spicy garlic sauce was phenomenal; it had a great kick and went so nicely with the sweet, succulent shrimp. And a fun bonus for the salt and pepper shrimp—you can eat it with the shells on! They were fried to a perfect, crispy texture that made for a delicious and easy eat.
In terms of taste, I think it totally deserves 5 stars. It was exactly what we were hoping for.
For people who don’t eat shrimp or have a shellfish allergy, there are several other options available on the menu. We noticed other dishes coming out that looked great, but since we were fully committed to the shrimp, I can’t personally comment on how they tasted.
There are a lot of outdoor sitting areas, all under the shade, which made for a very pleasant and relaxed dining experience.

My friend told me if I come to north shore I must try this type of shrimp dish. They are many famous places to eat this food. Tanaka Kahuku Shrimp was on the way, so we stop by here to try their shrimp.
We try 4 different flavors. Butter Garlic, Lemon Pepper, Spicy Garlic and Salt & Pepper. I like spicy garlic the most. It is flavorful and testier than another dish. The place is self-service so you order the food then when the food come you go pick it up then bring it to your table.
For a price point, I count as a tourist price so it will be one time thing or one in a blue moon so cost of live in the city is more than this and I don’t have any problem with it.

Shockingly good. So freaking juicy and tender. I have had shrimps a thousands of times but this one is just so exceptional that it blows my mind. I can’t find words to describe it, but I can promise you the flavor and texture and the freshness is out of this world, as long as their chef doesn’t quit and they stick with their current shrimp supplier

I tried #2 Butter Shrimp and it was pretty good. Not crazy good but good enough to recommend. I went during a weekday around 4pm. No long lines, quiet and plenty of parking – would recommend to check it out if you’re in the area. 3% credit card fee is there.

The environment is a real island fell. You order and pickup at their counter. Seating is covered with plenty of picnics tables available. There was a nice breeze that made the seating comfortable. The tempura shrimp was amazing. The rice and corn were ok. It is definitely a nice place to stop.

The shrimp here is so fresh and full of flavor! There’s shaded seating and lots of parking. New favorite spot now that the other shrimp trucks are overrun with tourists. Would order lemon pepper again.

I don’t quite understand the hype around this place. We ordered the butter garlic shrimp and tempura shrimp, and both were underwhelming – the butter garlic shrimp had almost no flavor, and the tempura shrimp was over-fried and too hard. To make matters worse, I found a small metal brush bristle in my food while eating. Definitely not an experience I’d recommend.

The food flavors were a little bland but over all was good. I did not appreciate being told that if we give the restaurant a 5 star review then we would receive free ice cream. Reviews are to be earned and should not be asked of through bribery techniques. 3 star review.

The garlic butter shrimps tasted amazing. The shrimps didn’t devein well with their gritty string removed (the only caveat). We liked the pineapple peach sauce and the spicy garlic sauce. The corn was sweet and delicious. We went there around 1pm-3pm on a weekday, there was no wait, and the food prep was rapid! Good dining area with restrooms and hand-washing stations available. The live music guitarist is super funny and fun. We’ll definitely come back again!
