My wife and I stopped by Tam’s Sweet & Savory Café for brunch, and it was such a great find. It’s a small, local spot tucked inside a house, and the whole place has this super cozy, welcoming vibe—like you’re having breakfast at a friend’s place.
I had the veggie quiche, which was light, flavorful, and really well made. My wife went with the huevos rancheros special of the day, and she absolutely loved it. Everything tasted fresh and homemade, and you can tell they put a lot of care into their food.
The house coffee was also excellent—smooth and rich, just what we needed to start the day.
Big shoutout to our server, Josie, who was friendly, attentive, and made us feel right at home.
We’re definitely planning to go back. It’s the kind of place that leaves you smiling when you leave.

If you haven’t tried this gem. You are seriously missing out. Best Biscuits and gravy around indy. All the food was amazing, and our server Brooklyn was on it.

Incredible food! The atmosphere is fun and inviting, and the staff were extremely kind and welcoming to my two young boys. Definitely would recommend this place to anyone! My tip: try the ham, pimento cheese, and jalapeno jam sandwich with bacon, it’s too dang good!

It’s ok. I had the French toast, eggs, and sausage. I didn’t care for the sausage– seemed like it was from a commercial frozen pack and reheated. Service was good for a busy Saturday morning.

What a gem I’ve finally discovered! Delicious food and drink. Hello best quiche and fresh greens with homemade lemon dressing that is unusual and refreshing! Iced tea is terrific and the people who work here are genuinely nice!!

We just stopped by today. I had the meat-based quiche with bacon, mushrooms, onion, cheddar and tomatoes. The eggs were fluffy and the crust was flaky and buttery. The breakfast potatoes were delicious and well-seasoned. Everything tasted like it was made from scratch.
My partner had the Salmon Benedict and it was tasty. The paprika on top and tomato made it different from others we’ve had, giving it a unique spin.
We also enjoyed the banana pudding and chocolate chip cookie. It was fresh and not too sweet.
The inside feels homey and casual, with local art. Everything is served on vintage mix and match plates. The entire staff was warm and welcoming. Their hospitality felt genuine. We definitely will return. Thanks for such a delicious brunch!

Tam’s is a small, operated restaurant that serves delicious breakfast and lunch food as well as sweet treats. It is located in an older house that has been turned into a cafe.
Tam’s serves coffee and teas as well as sodas to drink. I’ve tried a few things from Tam’s including the Loaded Potatoes and most recently, the Norris Hash. The hash has potatoes, sausage, spinach, fresh tomatoes, onions, green peppers, 2 eggs and toast. It was on the Sunday specials menu and was well worth it as it sold out as I was leaving around 11:20am.
The staff is always accommodating and hospitable. Every time I’ve visited the staff always makes sure I have all I need while I am there. Nancy, the cook is a wizard in the kitchen while cooking with a conventional oven and more standard home kitchen appliances.
The best I can describe the experience is like when you go to your mom’s house for lunch or breakfast, and you get that warm reception and care. I highly recommend eating here to anyone that wants a small-town restaurant experience where smaller details are taken care of.

We had a fabulous server by the name of Josie… So conscientious and just made us feel at home. Great coffee.. They did our home fries crunchy.. OMG! We had the venues… Homemade Hollandaise on Oaklandon… The dining area, a renovated house. It was fabulous.. the ambiance so eclectic…

So much packed into this special little place. But don’t let the size fool you, there’s an adjacent parking lot to start, and if the tables inside fill, there’s a nice back porch with more. Our food was delicious (both breakfast and lunch options). Everything is locally sourced, and the service is super friendly making it extra special.
