Such a great little place!. Only a few minutes off 35. Hometown restaurant with REAL beef hamburgers and perfect home fries. Good menu selection. Onion rings were great! Server (Nikki) was very nice, friendly and prompt. Superb strawberry pie! Glad we stopped!

Locally owned with service by Tammy herself. This is the kind of place you want to support she’s been there for 17 years and barely survived Covid so she’s earned all the business she can get.
Diane and I both had cheese burgers, and of course, mine had bacon and was also a double.
The patties are handmade and never frozen. Seasoned well and cooked well done but not dry. Usually, I ask for no more than medium well, but these were tender and juicy, so it was not an issue.
I also had the pinto beans as a side serving. These are not the same as the dinner and are not loaded with ham and so forth. Good, but they could use a little more seasoning.
Of course, Tammy is friendly and helpful with the service.
Overall, highly recommended thumbs-up

This is such a nice place to eat! The older woman that waited on us was absolutely fabulous! She was a very kind and funny woman. She tended to all of our lunch needs. It was almost as if she was refilling my drink as I was drinking it. We had kind of a big group with us at the time and our food still came out quickly. Everything was delicious. I was really impressed with the overall feel of being in the restaurant. It’s very well decorated and just a nice place to be. You will not be disappointed if you stop by for a bite to eat.

Tammy’s Country Kitchen is exactly the kind of small-town spot you hope to stumble upon while traveling!! The atmosphere was welcoming from the moment we walked in. Our waitress was so friendly and personable—she went out of her way to share extra suggestions, even bringing out her favorite sauce for us to try. You can tell she truly enjoys connecting with people.
What stood out most was the sense of community here. A few gentlemen who were clearly regulars were chatting with her about their holiday weekends, and before long, they were including us in the conversation too. They even offered their own food recommendations and wished us safe travels when they heard we were just passing through.
It felt less like a quick meal stop and more like being welcomed into someone’s kitchen. Great food, wonderful people, and the kind of experience that makes you want to come back. Highly recommend stopping in if you’re anywhere nearby!

I was astounded by how homely this restaurant was. I had just been travelling back from a rather stressful conference, and I needed dinner, so I saw this little place and thought,”Why not?” I wasn’t expecting how kind the staff were, and especially seeing how they interacted with some young children in a family booth, I can confidently say that they certainly do treat you like friends there. I will absolutely stop by this establishment again if it’s along the route (Plus, the Burger and Chicken Liver I got was really quite good!).

This diner is a great place to eat lunch and dinner. 11am to 7pm. Very good country cooking. Sandwiches and plate meals. Very good chicken and dumplings. Side vegetables and salads. Homemade cornbread and rolls. Homemade desserts like raspberry cake. Variety of soft drinks ice tea sweet and unsweetened. Staff are very pleasant. Mother Tammy and her daughter. We have been there 2x and look forward to returning soon.
